Lightweight, easy to carry and efficient – EWM adds a new model to the Picotig range: the Picotig 220 puls DC. The integrated Power Factor Correction (PFC) ensures increased output power. Thanks to the high efficiency and the standby function, the power pack is particularly energy-saving and thus cost-saving. Welding currents of 220 A at 40 percent duty cycle can be achieved in TIG welding and 190 A at 35 percent duty cycle in manual electric welding. This clearly sets the Picotig 220 puls DC apart from its predecessor.
User-oriented concept
EWM always puts the user in the focus of its products. For this reason, the developer of innovative welding technology has once again increased the ease of use of the welding units in the Picotig series. The length of the power cord is 3.5 m. Thus, the Picotig 220 puls DC offers an enormous working radius, completely without extension cables. Directly on the ergonomic and sturdy carrying handle is a cable holder to accommodate the power cord. A storage compartment for wear parts is integrated into the handle. The case is extremely robust and offers maximum protection for the ports, which are all located on the back. A protective flap on the front protects the control from damage and dirt.
Maximum flexibility for processes and accessories
All impulse, standard and innovative welding processes can be selected via the Comfort 3.0 mini control. In addition, the SpotArc and Spotmatic functions can be used to set targeted stitching points. The Picotig 220 puls DC is also suitable for manual electric welding and is cel-electrode compatible. The control system is particularly easy to operate and provides support even for complex welding tasks. The user now has numerous options when choosing a welding torch, as both conventional and digital EWM multifunction torches with display and remote control functions can be connected to the Picotig 220 puls DC. Thus, the five-pole torch connection is also compatible with EWM-X technology. Whether TIG Retox XQ torch, SpotArc torch or a torch already used in the predecessor model Picotig 200 puls DC – the user has a free choice and can thus adapt his welding equipment to the conditions. Extensive accessories round off the range.
