From September 15 to 19, the international industry will meet at the world’s leading trade fair Welding & Cutting at Messe Essen and take a joint look at the future of joining, cutting and coating technology.
Under the motto “Join the Future”, around 800 exhibitors from 42 countries – from young start-ups to market leaders – will be showcasing their innovations and ideas. Trade visitors can also look forward to numerous offers that open up new perspectives and promote the expansion of their own network.
“With the main theme ‘Join the Future’, Schweissen & Schneiden focuses on what moves the industry: What does the future of the industry look like and how can we help shape it? We are looking forward to an excellent event that will set new standards,” says Oliver P. Kuhrt, Managing Director of Messe Essen.
Roland Boecking, Managing Director of the DVS – German Welding Society, adds: “Whether digitalization, sustainability or the shortage of skilled workers: As the most important international industry gathering, the trade fair provides solutions for the challenges of today and tomorrow.”
The focus in Halls 1 to 5 and in the Galeria is on welding. Here you will find well-known exhibitors such as Cloos, EWM, Fronius, OTC/Lorch and Trumpf. In Halls 6 to 8, exhibitors such as Baykal, Ficep, Messer Cutting Systems and MicroStep will be focusing on cutting. The trade fair also covers numerous other topics such as surface technology, gases, equipment and safety as well as quality assurance.
Premiere of the IF Digital Award
In cooperation with the non-profit IndustryFusion Foundation and the DVS, Schweissen & Schneiden 2025 is presenting the IF Digital Award to particularly future-oriented exhibitors for the first time. The award recognizes advanced products and services that are driving forward the digitalization of the industry. The audience at the world’s leading trade fair will decide which of the 17 participating companies will ultimately hold the trophy in their hands.
Voting for the award will take place via the event app. Each visitor will receive one vote and will have the chance to win one of the attractive audience prizes. After the voting closes on the last day of the trade fair, the award ceremony will take place on Friday, September 19, at 1 p.m. at the IndustryFusion Foundation stand (Hall 6, Stand 6D22).
