Eight halls, one process chain: From October 20 to 23, the 28th edition of Euroblech in Hanover will showcase all the latest developments in sheet metal processing. The organizer, RX, has expanded the exhibition to include new special sections, themed tours, and a conference program.

From mechanical engineering and automation to tooling, forming, joining, and surface treatment technologies, all the way to digital production and contract manufacturing, Euroblech 2026 will encompass a total of 15 sectors. International manufacturers and specialty suppliers will present machines, systems, components, and services, as well as the latest technical developments. Machine demonstrations are designed to enable trade visitors to compare different manufacturing concepts in action.

Exhibitors announced include Adige, Aida, Amada, ArcelorMittal, Bodor, Bystronic, Eagle, Ermaksan, LVD, Motofil, MVD, Prima Power, Salvagnini, Trumpf, Valk Welding, Voortman, and Yamazaki Mazak. As of the editorial deadline for this issue, 985 companies had registered.

Tens of thousands of visitors in Hanover

According to the organizer, the previous event in 2024 drew 1,317 exhibitors and 38,946 visitors from 114 countries. According to the report, 81% of the visitors were involved in purchasing decisions.

The theme of the 2026 trade show is “Toward a Stronger Future—Smart and Sustainable Production.” Among other things, the event will focus on increased productivity, reduced resource consumption, more resilient supply chains, and the evaluation of investments in new manufacturing technologies.

“Manufacturing companies today have more options than ever before. The more difficult question is which of these will provide the greatest benefit for your own business,” says Evelyn Warwick, Event Director of Euroblech at RX. The trade show is therefore intended to offer the opportunity to see technologies in action, compare different approaches, and assess their suitability for your own production.”

With new formats, the trade show is organizing its offerings more closely around processes and application areas. The “Innovation Zone | Advanced Manufacturing” showcases selected new products from the twelve months leading up to the event. The spectrum ranges from machinery and automation to smart manufacturing, tooling technology, and digital production.

In addition, there are three special sections. A marketplace for contract manufacturers and suppliers focuses on contract manufacturing. The “Tooling & Forming Solutions Spotlight” covers tooling and forming technology, while the “Laser, CNC & Cutting Solutions Spotlight” brings together applications from laser, CNC, and cutting technology.

Themed Tours Focusing on Manufacturing and Sales Markets

The organizer has also expanded the range of guided tours at the trade show. In 2026, visitors can choose from two new focus areas: “Smart Manufacturing and Resource-Efficient Production” and “Market Opportunities in Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology, Aerospace, and Defense.” Visitors can book the guided tours through the online ticket shop.

A newly released visitor app helps users plan their routes and bookmark exhibitors to visit during the trade show. According to Warwick, special areas, themed tours, expert presentations, and digital planning tools are designed to make it easier for visitors to find their way around and compare different applications.

Another highlight is the new conference program on the “Nextgen Technology Stage” in Hall 27. Admission to the presentations is included in the trade show ticket. Topics include artificial intelligence, automation, and smart manufacturing, as well as sustainability, energy efficiency, the circular economy, and securing a skilled workforce. The program also focuses on questions regarding the economic benefits of smart production concepts, AI applications already in use, opportunities to reduce resource and energy consumption, and changing customer expectations of their equipment suppliers.

Among the announced program items is “From Smart Factory Hype to Shopfloor Reality.” The presentation will examine the areas in which smart manufacturing is already delivering measurable benefits and where its limitations lie. “AI in Sheet Metal Production: What Works, What Doesn’t, What’s Next” addresses AI applications and the challenges involved in implementing them in a production setting.

“Energy Efficiency and the New Economics of Sheet Metal Production” examines the economic implications of reduced energy consumption. The session titled “What Buyers Really Want from Sheet Metal Technology Suppliers,” on the other hand, focuses on buyers’ requirements for machinery, software, and services.

Buyer Day for Industrial Procurement

In collaboration with the German Association for Materials Management, Purchasing, and Logistics (BME), Euroblech is hosting a “BME Buyer Day” at the Convention Center on Thursday, October 22. The program is aimed at procurement professionals and includes presentations and panel discussions.

The program covers key purchasing metrics, supply chain management, developments in the steel market, economic security, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and AI-supported product costing. The program is complemented by opportunities for professional exchange.

A career fair will be held on Friday, October 23. Students, apprentices, and young professionals will receive free admission on that day. The event is designed to facilitate connections between young professionals and companies and to provide information about career opportunities in the sheet metal working industry.
