As a leading provider in the field of cobot welding, Lorch Schweißtechnik will be demonstrating at Roboter 2025 how easily and efficiently companies can use cobot technology today. The conference and trade exhibition will take place on February 18 and 19, 2025 at the Schwabenlandhalle in Fellbach. In particular, Lorch will provide an overview of the advantages offered by a modular solution such as My Cobot, which can be customized and flexibly adapted to the respective tasks.

The shortage of skilled workers in the manufacturing industry will continue to increase in the coming years. Too few welders are being trained compared to the demand that is already foreseeable today. Experts therefore see collaborative robotic welding as a key solution. The cobot offers a fast, flexible and economically very interesting option, especially for small and medium-sized companies.

Lorch Schweißtechnik will be demonstrating how quickly such systems can be integrated into existing workflows at the Robot 2025 trade event (February 18-19, 2025, Schwabenlandhalle, Fellbach). Visitors will be able to get an overview of Lorch’s customer-centric Cobot Welding World, which enables companies to put together their own optimal cobot system thanks to the My Cobot modular system, without having to block the way for future tasks. With the My Cobot modular system, modules can be easily retrofitted depending on the task at hand, regardless of whether they are add-on components or software options.

Lorch will also be showcasing the latest application tools such as TouchSense, SeamTracking and SeamPilot, which significantly simplify seam tracking and further increase the efficiency of cobot welding.

In the presentation on February 18, 2025, Dr.-Ing. Caren Dripke, Head of Robotics Development at Lorch, will give a comprehensive overview of the practical advantages of the plug & play modular system My Cobot under the topic “Modular Cobot welding system: Adaptability for long-term investment security”. The presentation will focus on how companies can easily customize the system in terms of both hardware and software, from entry-level solutions to individually adapted workstations.

Dr.-Ing. Caren Dripke: “As the market leader, Lorch has shown that cobot technology is a universal tool for welding technology. In terms of operation and use, it makes the automation of welding processes much easier. Like no other system, Lorch’s modular solution allows for customized configuration and easy adaptation to the tasks at hand. Companies will also be surprised by the extent to which we have succeeded in reducing complexity in order to provide end customers with an easy-to-install and adaptable tool.”
