A good quarter of a year before the opening, Lamiera confirms its role as a reference trade fair for the sheet metal forming, cutting and processing machinery sector and associated technologies.
Lamiera, promoted by Ucimu-Sistemi per Produrre, the Italian association of manufacturers of machine tools, robots and automation systems, and organized by CEU-Centro Esposizioni Ucimu, will take place from Tuesday 6 to Friday 9 May 2025 in Fieramilano Rho. By mid-December, more than 200 registered companies had already applied to exhibit, which is 20 percent more than in the same period for the 2023 edition. In addition, the fair’s secretariat also reports “important returnees”. 24% of the previous ones come from foreign companies that consider Italy an interesting market with great potential. As the only international event in Italy specifically for this sector, Lamiera has increasingly established itself as an important international trade fair. Machinery, systems and equipment for processing and cutting sheet metal, tubes, profiles, wires and other semi-finished products, presses, molds and dies, joining, surface treatments, parts, components, accessories, tools, fasteners, technical and industrial supplies form the core of the exhibition. In addition, the event will highlight several machine-related technological themes. Fabbrica Futura will focus on software and technologies for connectivity and data management, automation and digital and robotic systems used in sheet metal processing. Saldatech will offer an overview of the wide and varied world of welding. Fastener Industry will show the areas of screws, bolts, rivets and other joining methods. World of Heat and Surface Treatments will showcase machinery, equipment, accessories and consumables for the pre- and post-treatment of ferrous and non-ferrous materials to provide a complete overview of this ever-evolving segment. Metrology & Testing will focus on systems, testing and measuring machines and quality control, which are essential for the sector’s production.
Blech Italy Service will offer technical supplies and services for the sector’s industry. In addition, starting this year, Lamiera will offer a “Revamping & Retrofitting” area dedicated to machines and systems that have been suitably refitted and equipped with new functionalities to meet the needs of a market that complements that of “new machines” and partly meets the criteria of the circular economy.
“With this start and considering the market improvement expected for 2025,” said Alfredo Mariotti, General Director of Ucimu-Sistemi per Produrre, “we believe that the fair, now in its twenty-third edition, can do better than the previous edition.” “Finally,” added Alfredo Mariotti, “the decision to bring forward the opening of the fair by one day to close it within the working days of the week, thus coinciding with most international events in the sector, will allow us to offer our visitors the opportunity to take full advantage of the parallelism with ‘Made in Steel’, the exhibition dedicated to the steel industry organized in front of the halls occupied by the Lamiera (from Tuesday to Thursday).” Accompanying projects and initiatives will further enhance the trade fair and enable a comprehensive visit.
LamiaLamiera, the event area of the trade fair, will once again offer a rich program of meetings on important topics in the sector. Visits from foreign companies and initiatives in the field of education will also once again be part of the event program.
