Microstep and Igems have started a cooperation: As a result, users will be able to use the leading Swedish software developer’s CAD-CAM systems in conjunction with MicroStep’s high-precision and flexible 2D and 3D waterjet cutting systems.

Located in Borås, east of Gothenburg, the Swedish software company Igems has more than 30 years of tradition in developing advanced software solutions for CNC waterjet cutting systems. “Igems offers a convenient and flexible product for drawing, nesting and creating CNC programs in a single tool, thanks to a combination of CAD solution and CAM software for both 2D and 3D cutting applications,” explains Puya Hadadi, Head of Software Solutions at MicroStep Europe. Among other things, the software suite independently regulates the correct cutting parameters (pressure, feed, sand quantity, acceleration and corner reduction …) based on the CNC program, so that as a result the demands on the machine operators are reduced.
