“In addition to our in-house highly flexible software systems, we have always offered our customers the option of using products from other premium manufacturers on request. With Igems we have another strong partner here, who has enormous experience in the field of waterjet software and expands our offer with a combined CAD-CAM solution”, Johannes Ried, Managing Director of MicroStep Europa GmbH, is pleased.
Located in Borås, east of Gothenburg, the Swedish software company Igems has more than 30 years of tradition in developing advanced software solutions for CNC waterjet cutting systems. Today, the company is considered a pioneer in the industry and, with more than 7000 users, one of the world’s leading providers of CAD-CAM software for waterjet cutting machines.

“Igems offers a convenient and flexible product for drawing, nesting and creating CNC programs in a single tool, thanks to a combination of CAD solution and CAM software for both 2D and 3D cutting applications,” explains Puya Hadadi, Head of Software Solutions at MicroStep Europe. Among other things, the software suite independently regulates the correct cutting parameters (pressure, feed, sand quantity, acceleration and corner reduction …) based on the CNC program, so that as a result the demands on the machine operators are reduced.
