In Hall 6 of the new Essen exhibition center, MicroStep will be presenting solutions for cutting, automation and digitization at Stand 6D20. Visitors can look forward to several innovations and many live demonstrations.

“Get connected – get digital”: This is the motto of this year’s Schweissen & Schneiden, which will take place from September 11 to 15, 2023, at the Messe Essen exhibition center. At the largest booth in the company’s history, MicroStep has plenty of space in Hall 6, Booth D20, to network, demonstrate the diversity of its high-end solutions, and, in keeping with the trade show slogan, bring the power behind the buzzword digitalization to life.
“The leading trade fair Welding & Cutting is an absolute highlight: At the trade fair, we will present in action what we have to offer in the field of plasma, laser, oxyfuel and waterjet as well as in the fields of automation and digitalization. In addition, we will be taking part in the digitalization rally as part of the trade show,” promises Johannes Ried, Managing Director of MicroStep Europa GmbH.
During cutting, visitors can experience live what state-of-the-art 2D and 3D cutting solutions are capable of achieving on sheet metal, tubes, profiles and container bases. Bevel cutting with plasma, bevel cutting with waterjet and dynamic fiber laser cutting will be on display – demonstrations of technologies for drilling, milling and marking cover the variety of technologies that can be experienced live at the trade show.

At the MicroStep Europa booth, for example, the multifunctional all-rounder MG including plasma rotator will be in use for 3D processing of sheet metal, tubes, profiles and container bases. On show here for the first time is a new milling solution that adds another machining option to the series. Just a few steps away, the WaterCut waterjet cutting system is active to combine the power and precision of water by means of a new 3D cutting head. The MSF Compact is also space-saving and precise. The 2D laser system offers the full precision and speed of a modern CNC fiber laser in a small space.
Aligned with the leading theme of the trade fair – digitalization and Industry 4.0 – MicroStep will present another topic: the CyberFab Manager. The Capp software suite provides a portal for all production management. Production can be managed and tracked here under one roof – including cutting, bending, deburring, welding and logistics between different workstations.
Some special thematic areas also make 3D technologies tangible and experienceable. For example, there are separate exhibitions that thematically explore 3D cutting using a laser rotator or oxyfuel rotator, the cutting of container bases and also the milling of large components.

Finally, the technology offering will be completed at the neighboring IndustryFusion Foundation booth (Hall 6, D22). MicroStep is a member of the foundation, which acts as a trade fair partner and promotes the networking of European industry on the way to the Smart Factory in the sense of Industry 4.0. Accordingly, there will also be a lot on offer here: for example, the latest version of the MSE SmartFL laser performer can be experienced. The fiber laser cutting system from MicroStep Europe is a powerful and at the same time inexpensive system for high-quality 2D laser cutting including an automatic shuttle table.
