At Euroblech 2024, the BLM Group will be showcasing its LS7 sheet metal laser for metal with a 20 KW laser source and a compact storage tower for continuous production around the clock, seven days a week. The new machine has all the features known from the versions with less powerful laser sources. High performance, low energy consumption and high cutting quality. The LS7 requires just nine seconds for a pallet change.
It has a sensor-equipped laser cutting head and special Active Tools functions that automatically optimize its cutting process and maximize its energy efficiency.

With its fiber laser, it processes a wide range of different metal types including aluminum, brass, stainless steel, copper and steel.
The portal structure combines elements of aluminum and polymer concrete.
These give the machine the robustness and lightness it needs to achieve excellent performance values and accelerations above 2 g.
During its development, particular emphasis was placed on ergonomics and ease of operation.
This is guaranteed by its human-machine interface and its window doors, which are located directly next to the work area.
They allow easy access to the work area (when the machine is switched off) for maintenance and cleaning work.
The machine on display at the show is equipped with a gas mixing system that automatically combines operating gases to further increase cutting quality and speed.

This system does not require any special maintenance or additional floor space as it is fully integrated into the machine.
The LS7 not only requires a minimal footprint, but can also be equipped with various systems for the automation of sheet metal processing.
This applies, for example, to automatic loading and unloading or a compact automatic storage tower.
These solutions enable 24/7 production and therefore higher productivity.

Tube laser with extended possibilities

The LT7 tube laser from the BLM Group’s Lasertube family is the result of years of technical research and continuous development of innovative software and hardware solutions.

This fully automatic machine processes tubes with diameters from 12 mm to 152 mm and up to 23 kg/m bar weight – offering outstanding performance.
From the smallest to the largest diameter, it makes all adjustments automatically.
Even open profiles such as L, U and flat profiles are handled like standard profiles and processed fully automatically.
The machine on show at the trade fair is equipped with a threaded riveting unit that automatically inserts threaded rivets into pipes.
This expands the possibilities of the tube laser and simplifies the production process by eliminating the handling and intermediate storage of parts that would be necessary if this work step were carried out separately.
At the trade fair, the LT7 will also feature a robot that unloads the parts in a sorted manner.

Five-axis laser cutting system for profiles

The LT-Free is a five-axis 3D laser cutting system for processing three-dimensional metal profiles for a wide range of industries such as electric vehicles, plant engineering, motorcycles, automotive, sanitary and furniture. The machine on show at the trade fair is equipped with a large work area for processing smooth and punched sheet metal as well as a robot for processing bent and hydroformed tubes in a single work step.

The product range at the trade fair will be rounded off with various other interesting optimizations for the cutting process and functions to support the operator.
These will be presented to the public for the first time at the trade fair.

Bends, even with a high degree of difficulty

The Elect150 is an all-electric tube bending machine for tubes with diameters up to 150 mm. It is available for either left-hand or right-hand bending.
Equipped with the latest version of the VGPNext programming software, the machine can perform bends with a high degree of difficulty while guaranteeing visually excellent surfaces.

The machine on show at the trade fair demonstrates this by bending a 110 mm diameter tube with a centerline radius of just 90 mm – achieving a unique visual quality.

Complete software suite for all

The BLM Group offers a complete range of solutions for the processing of tubes, sheet metal and three-dimensional metal profiles of all kinds for every production environment – supplemented by special software solutions and a service offering that provides customers with all-round support.
Thanks to its extensive practical experience in the control of cutting and bending machines, the BLM Group can offer a range of powerful native software tools that enable customers to maximize the performance of their machines.

The BLMelements software suite offers comprehensive functions and options both for programming directly on the machines and for programming them in work preparation. VGPNext is the three-dimensional graphical programming software for the BLM Group’s tube and wire bending machines. It is simple and intuitive to use and is available either for programming on the machines or as an office version for programming in work preparation. With just a few simple clicks, VGPNext enables the bending of tubes with the highest quality and accuracy. ArTube is the BLM Group’s CAD-CAM software specifically for its tube lasers in the Lasertube family.

Customers use it to program the cutting of a wide variety of different profiles in the production of individual parts and complex frames. The software is complete, powerful, dynamic, technologically accurate and intuitive to use. It can also be adapted to individual requirements.

ArtCut is the CAM software for offline programming of the BLM Group’s 3D laser cutting systems. With the help of intuitive 3D graphics, ArtCut simplifies the programming of any three-dimensional parts, whereby the software automatically avoids collisions, realistically simulates the cutting process and enables the quick and easy production of workpieces.
PartViewer graphically simulates the part programs for the tube lasers.

This software can also be used to calculate estimated production times and costs.Prometheus is the BLM Group’s MES software that allows customers to control all connected BLM Group machines easily and clearly via a single interface. With Prometheus, they create their production orders in the office, plan their production efficiently, send their work orders to their machines, monitor the operating status of their machines and automatically record their production data. If customers use intelligent strategies and optimized integration with their ERP system, Prometheus is their key to developing intelligent Industry 4.0 solutions.

Always close to the customer with customized solutions

The BLM Group offers a wide range of services based on its extensive practical experience, which it uses to support its customers and accompany them throughout the entire service life of their machines.
This guarantees its customers maximum efficiency and machine availability. The BLM Group’s comprehensive range of services includes contracts for technical support.
These contracts offer rapid assistance in the event of unforeseen machine or software malfunctions. They also include support for new production requirements.

In both cases, the BLM Group deploys highly qualified and specialized technicians. Technical support can also be accessed remotely via augmented reality tools such as Active Eye.
BLManalytics is the tool for recording and displaying production data from connected BLM Group machines – with the aim of providing useful information on machine operation and production.
This highlights critical developments and potential for improvement.

This forms the basis for fast, target-oriented and effective strategic decisions that allow maximum efficiency, reduced maintenance costs and shorter machine downtimes.
Depending on their production requirements, customers can select the most suitable maintenance programs for them. They can plan their maintenance work so that it is carried out without interrupting production. In addition, they can extend the service life of their machines with the help of special activity programs: preventive routine maintenance and/or unscheduled maintenance, repairs and spare parts deliveries.
