The partnership includes a minority stake in BLM Group by Hypertherm Associates and an agreement to increase demand in North America and Europe for BLM Group’s laser cutting and bending machines for tubes, flatbed lasers and robotic 3D laser cutting systems, among others.
In combination, BLM Group’s expertise in laser cutting technology and Hypertherm Associates’ practical experience in integrated solutions represent a significant opportunity for both companies to strengthen their customer relationships and respond to the ever-evolving needs of the market. Hypertherm Associates was advised on the development of the agreement by Lincoln International and Advant NTCM, while BLM Group was advised by Grimani & Pesce and Gianni & Origoni.
The strategic partnership will enable both companies to maintain their current governance structure, operations and strategic priorities, allowing for continuous innovation and consistent operational management.
The BLM Group looks back on a proud tradition as a globally active family business with headquarters and production facilities in Cantù and Levico Terme in Italy. Hypertherm Associates, based in the USA, is 100 percent employee-owned. It has plasma cutting solutions manufacturing facilities in New Hampshire, a waterjet manufacturing facility in Minnesota and Washington, and a laser cutting consumables manufacturing facility in Sasso Marconi, Italy.
