Machine tool manufacturer Trumpf closed the 2025/26 fiscal year (ending June 30) with better-than-expected results. After three years of declining order intake and two years of falling revenue, the company is now on the path to recovery.
According to preliminary calculations, the company generated revenue in the past fiscal year that was slightly above the previous year’s level of 4.34 billion euros (fiscal year 2024/25: 4.33 billion euros) and new orders of 4.5 billion euros (previous year: 4.2 billion euros). In its forecast last fall, the company had anticipated that new orders would remain flat or rise slightly, while revenue for the group would decline.
For the first time in the past fiscal year, the United States was once again the strongest individual market. There, Trumpf recorded significant revenue growth. Revenue rose by approximately 16% to about 760 million euros (previous year: 661 million euros). In its home market of Germany, however, revenue fell by 6% to approximately 660 million euros (previous year: 700 million euros). Despite another decline in revenue of 7%, China remained the strongest individual market in Asia, with revenue of approximately 450 million euros (previous year: 482 million euros).
“The increase in new orders makes us optimistic about the current fiscal year, during which we expect further growth,” says Trumpf CEO Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller. “While we remain cautiously optimistic, based on the trends of the past few months, we anticipate a slight turnaround in our business.”
As of June 30, 2026, Trumpf had 16,960 employees across the group. Approximately 8,200 employees worked in Germany, of whom about 5,350 were based at the headquarters in Ditzingen.
