As of July 1, 2025, the East Westphalian intralogistics specialist Remmert has restructured its operational management. Brothers Stephan and Matthias Remmert, who previously managed the business of all Remmert companies, are handing over the reins to experienced managers Sebastian Schürholz and Hugo Allemann.
This means that in its 80th year as a company, the manufacturer of storage and automation systems based in Löhne, Westphalia, is now being managed by non-family managers for the first time. “This personnel decision represents an important milestone in the strategic orientation of the Remmert Group with regard to the corporate strategy 2030. By strengthening the management team, we are sending a clear signal for sustainable growth, customer focus and international competitiveness,” says Stephan Remmert.
Sebastian Schürholz joined the management of Friedrich Remmert GmbH as Technical Managing Director on July 1, 2024. In this position, the graduate engineer is responsible for all technical and operational areas – from mechanical and electrical design to PLC and software development to the entire production area. In addition, he has already successfully implemented measures to optimize processes as well as to qualify and strengthen the personal responsibility of employees. “His extensive international management experience in project management, product and process development as well as in restructuring, performance and efficiency programs is a great asset to our company,” says Matthias Remmert, praising Sebastian Schürholz’s skills. Matthias Remmert will remain Managing Director of Remmert Holding GmbH & Co. KG and will continue to be responsible for sales activities in America and Australia as well as Remmert’s Integrated Management System.
The new Commercial Managing Director of Remmert GmbH is Hugo Allemann. He is an experienced industrial engineer with an impressive career in the international capital goods industry. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President Marketdivision Central Europe at Bystronic Laser AG. “With his many years of management experience, his in-depth knowledge of the market and his expertise in the areas of sales, project management and corporate development, Mr. Allemann has the ideal qualifications to successfully develop the commercial management,” says Stephan Remmert. Stephan Remmert will remain CEO of Remmert Holding and will also focus on the areas of finance/controlling/human resources as well as IT and processes in the future.
In addition to the change in management, Dirk Kammel, Head of Development, and Gerd Hartsieker, Head of Project Management, two long-standing managers at Remmert have been granted power of attorney with sole power of representation to support the management.
