At the Maintenance in Dortmund (from March 30th until March 31st, 2022), automation company Pilz will be exhibiting safe solutions for customized retrofit measures as well as comprehensive services for efficient maintenance. Pilz experts explain how these measures – used and maintained correctly – protect employees during maintenance work and optimize machine availability and productivity in the long term.
The focus of Pilz’s presence at the trade fair is the safe complete solution for access and interlock management. It consists of the PITmode fusion modular mode selection and access authorization system, which enables efficient access control management. The system covers safety and security requirements simultaneously. For this purpose, the PITreader readout unit regulates access authorization to the machine. In conjunction with the sensor and control portfolio, Pilz offers complete access guarding: from the safety switch for movable guards, which prevents the execution of a dangerous machine function after the safety guard has been opened, through the door handle module and pushbutton units, to the configurable mini control system PNOZmulti 2.
Customized security
Also on display in Dortmund: the myPNOZ modular safety relay – a safe and economical complete solution. myPNOZ reliably monitors safety functions such as emergency stop and safety gate and can be individually configured via the myPNOZ Creator online tool without any programming knowledge. This saves time and costs during implementation. Visitors can experience the simplicity of the Creator live.
Pilz Lecture: Safe & Compliant Inspected!
As part of the “Solution Center”, Pilz experts will also be giving a presentation at maintenance with helpful tips on inspecting electro-sensitive protective equipment (ESPE), such as safety light grids or safety light barriers. Pilz provides support with a range of services for the complete life cycle or for individual phases of the machines. This also includes inspections of protective equipment, i.e. the performance of recurring tests in accordance with the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health.
