What measures are required to implement the new Machinery Directive? From March 2025, Pilz will be providing information throughout Germany as part of its free “Automation on Tour” seminar series on the topic of “Machinery safety for manufacturers and operators”. The focus will be on relevant standards for safety and security and put them into a practical context.
The Pilz seminar series deals with the topic “From the Machinery Directive to the Machinery Ordinance – practical experience and challenges”.
What will change with the Machinery Ordinance?
The EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 comes into force on January 20, 2027. Machine manufacturers and operators should therefore familiarize themselves with the new requirements for the safety of plant and machinery, which also include security.
In the seminar, Pilz experts will provide an overview of the requirements of the new Machinery Regulation and present changes compared to the previously applicable Machinery Directive. They will also explain to seminar participants the relevant standards that must be observed during implementation.
Machine safety in practice
Particular emphasis is placed on the practical implementation of safety and security. The seminar will show how a risk assessment is carried out and what a safety concept including security should take into account. In addition, the speakers will provide an insight into the trends in safe automation.
