Schweissen & Schneiden will once again offer a special highlight for young companies at Messe Essen from September 15 to 19, 2025: Thanks to the federal funding program “Young Innovators”, start-ups can take part in the world’s leading trade fair for joining, cutting and coating technology at discounted rates and present their innovative products and services to an international trade audience. Interested companies can now register for these special stand spaces.
“Participating in Schweissen & Schneiden offers young companies a unique opportunity to position themselves internationally,” emphasizes Christina Kleinpaß, Project Manager of Schweissen & Schneiden. “Our aim is to provide start-ups with the best possible support with an attractive joint stand in the highly frequented Hall 3 so that they can present themselves successfully.”
Trade visitors from over 120 nations come together at the world’s leading trade fair to make new business contacts, exchange ideas and prepare investments. Start-ups meet decision-makers from industry and trade as well as potential partners and customers from all over the world.
These are the conditions for participation in the funding program
This international character of Schweissen & Schneiden is one of the reasons why the trade fair has once again been awarded the funding program of the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA). The aim of “Young Innovators” is to open up export markets. Young companies can qualify for the program if they meet these criteria: – The registered office and business operations are located in Germany. – The company is less than ten years old. – It has fewer than 50 employees and an annual turnover or balance sheet total of no more than ten million euros. – The portfolio includes innovative products, processes or services that the company has developed or significantly improved itself. If these conditions are met, the companies register for the trade fair via the Schweissen & Schneiden website. They then submit their application to the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control. After successful approval, they receive funding of up to 60 percent of the costs for stand rental and stand construction. Services such as cleaning, security and the use of a shared information stand with a meeting and catering area are also included in the package.
