Miniaturization is an important aspect of industrial transformation, ensuring efficient and sustainable processes. Because “smaller” solutions save space and energy. Pilz supports this aspect with safe sensor solutions, among other things: The new safe safety gate system PSENmgate combines the classic solenoid interlock PSENmlock with the control element PITgatebox in a compact solution. As a compact system, it requires less space on the safety gate. At the same time, PSENmgate offers a high level of protection against tampering and bypassing for safeguarding safety gates. This ensures safety on the machine or system thanks to a trouble-free production process.

All in all, PSENmgate saves important space on the machine and time during installation thanks to the simplified wiring via just one plug connector.

Core competence 1: Safe locking

PSENmgate protects the process and the operator on walk-on safety gates as well as on covers and flaps, for example in enclosed robot applications. The compact safety gate system ensures safe interlocking and safe guard locking up to the highest safety category PL e, Cat. 4. Several safety gates can also be quickly and easily connected in series. The time and effort required for wiring is reduced and installation is therefore faster.

Core competence 2: Versatile operation

The compact safety gate system PSENmgate has various operating elements such as push-buttons and illuminated buttons as well as emergency stop buttons and an escape release. In addition, users can select the right door handles from a range. The system therefore offers configuration options for different applications. PSENmgate is therefore versatile and can be applied to a wide variety of machines or systems. Both machine manufacturers and operators benefit, as machines can be designed more flexibly.

Add-on: Sustainability and diagnostics for high output

The compact design of the energy-efficient PSENmgate reduces power consumption thanks to its bistable guard locking principle. As an integrated and energy-efficient safety gate system, PSENmgate thus reduces energy costs. The comprehensive diagnostics via four LED lights and a diagnostic output enable short response times to status changes in the event of error messages. Users get a sustainable product, reduce machine downtimes and increase their productivity.
