The next level of plate processing

New tasks often require machines with new possibilities, new functions – for example, a machine that can drill, cut, mark and even thread and mill in one clamping and one pass. The latest version of the V310 from Voortman can do all this.

“Whatever sheet metal processing is required, the V310 can do it – without limits, fully automatically and even unmanned,” promise those responsible at Voortman wholeheartedly, and continue: “With the V310, virtually any sheet metal can be given any outline, any cut-out.” Examples are elongated holes for which flame cutting is out of the question, or cut-outs with different milling depths. All this makes the V310 one of the most versatile sheet metal working machines available.

Voortman sees the V310 as much more than just an all-round sheet metal working machine.

The possibility to handle all process steps in one clamping simplifies the overall process as well as the logistics and saves “a lot of money”. Since numerous new features are also offered, the manufacturer speaks of the “next level of sheet metal processing”.

When multi-shift operation or even just multi-machine operation is required, one of the most important features of the V310 comes into its own: extended unmanned production. An indicator signals the operator when he has to intervene. Otherwise, he can go somewhere else. In other words, it can contribute to value creation where it is most efficient.

Machining scope, enhanced human-machine interaction and a lot of built-in “intelligence” – this and many other new features are designed to help improve the overall production process, and achieve the greatest possible flexibility and efficiency.
