Thyssenkrupp Steel presented H₂-optimized steels for the transport of hydrogen and hydrogen mixtures at the Tube trade fair in Düsseldorf.
The materials are designed to meet specific requirements such as resistance to hydrogen embrittlement, high fatigue strength and workability. They enable safe and reliable operation of hydrogen pipelines – even under demanding operating conditions.
Thanks to coordinated chemical compositions and modern manufacturing processes, the materials combine strength, toughness and weldability. This creates the basis for durable and economical piping systems and supports the development of a sustainable hydrogen infrastructure.
