Unlocking green potential

Impressionen von der BlechExpo in Stuttgart

It’s that time again: Under the motto “Unlock your green potential”, thyssenkrupp Steel is presenting innovative and sustainable steel solutions at Blechexpo.

At stand 10406 in hall 10, trade fair visitors can get to know TKH2Steel – one of the world’s largest industrial decarbonization projects for climate-neutral steel production. In addition, thyssenkrupp Steel will be showcasing products that can be used to make value chains more climate-friendly: whether high-performance steels for resource-saving lightweight construction in vehicles or durable, robust and sustainable steels for solar systems. CO2-reduced Bluemint steels are already supporting customers’ climate protection ambitions.
All signs are green at Thyssenkrupp Steel. The perfect time to talk to the company to make even more possible in terms of climate protection.

Topics at the thyssenkrupp stand:

Green transformation for sustainable flat carbon steel TKH2Steel, the pioneering concept with a unique system combination. At an interactive exhibit on the stand, visitors can discover how innovative plant technology works and how a direct reduction plant with downstream, electrically operated smelters is integrated into Europe’s largest steelworks. The subsequent production steps from the steelworks and therefore also the products remain unchanged. As a result, high-quality, climate-friendly steel can be delivered to customers from Duisburg in just a few years. The plant is scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2026.

With Bluemint Steel, the CO2-reduced steels, thyssenkrupp Steel is already supporting the climate protection ambitions of its customers. With Bluemint recycled, in whose production scrap is used in the blast furnace process, thyssenkrupp Steel saves emissions at the Duisburg site and helps its customers to reduce their Scope 3 emissions. Thyssenkrupp Steel presents its visitors with product examples made of CO2-reduced bluemint steel from its customers.

High-performance steels for resource-saving lightweight construction in vehicle construction Thyssenkrupp Steel offers a broad portfolio of high-strength and ultra-high-strength steels for vehicle construction that combine high strength, ductility and formability. This enables a reduction in weight while maintaining or improving safety and functionality. Exhibits will give visitors the opportunity to see for themselves how the high-performance steels from thyssenkrupp Steel can be used in various applications, for example in bodywork, chassis and drive components.

ZM Ecoprotect Solar: Effective corrosion protection for photovoltaic mounting systems With ZM Ecoprotect Solar, thyssenkrupp Steel presents an innovative corrosion protection solution for robust steel substructures of solar systems. The metal-coated structural steels for solar applications can be easily processed into profiles and are ideal for use in various corrosive atmospheres. The high-quality zinc-magnesium-coated steels for PV mounting systems are also available as CO2-reduced bluemint steel.
