The eighth edition of the Stanztec trade fair from June 16 to 18 will provide new impetus for the future of stamping and forming technology. The trade fair company P. E. Schall and the exhibitor advisory board are inviting visitors to the trade fair for stamping technology at the CCP Congress Centrum in Pforzheim.

The expert meeting in “Stanzvalley” is one of the most important industry events of the year, according to the organizer. The focus is on expertise, regionality and optimism.

Stanztec is looking “optimistically ahead”. This is the intention of the exhibitor advisory board, which emphasizes the importance of staying on course for the future, especially in economically turbulent times. This year’s Stanztec will therefore set milestones for overcoming the current challenges. These include, for example, generational change, the shortage of skilled workers, disrupted supply chains and high production costs. Increasing product individualization with small and smaller batch sizes, more complex part geometries and, at the same time, increasing demands on quality, precision and resource conservation by avoiding waste are further issues for companies. Production efficiency and cost-effectiveness are therefore more important than ever in order to survive on the market.

Regional ties and industry power

For the organizers of Stanztec and the stamping technology community in the northern Black Forest around Pforzheim, it is of great importance to present the regional expertise and to focus on securing the location with important jobs. The region around Pforzheim is traditionally a center of stamping and forming technology. The companies in the “Stanzvalley” act as an internationally active interest group and at the same time as a regionally organized community.

The CCP Congress Centrum in Pforzheim is a traditional and popular venue for Stanztec. This is where industry power with high-tech applications that are valued worldwide meets regional ties. Trade visitors from all over the world appreciate this trade fair atmosphere and the concentration of stamping technology specialists.

Three trade fair days with “brilliant stamping technologies”

The exhibition space at the Pforzheim CCP is fully booked again this year with around 150 exhibiting companies. The compact trade fair format, the exchange between all those involved in the industry and the presentation at the highest level make Stanztec a summer highlight. At this communication platform, trade visitors will find inspiration for sustainable stamping and forming technology. The focus is on process improvement, flexibility and resource conservation as well as multifunctionality, process-integrated quality assurance and ease of operation.

Bruderer presents newly developed control system

Swiss company Bruderer AG will be presenting its new B3 control system at stand C27 (hall MSOG). Improved process control and user-oriented operating logic enable simpler, faster and more reliable control of complex applications, according to the machine manufacturer. Thanks to open interfaces based on OPC UA, the B3 can be integrated into modern production environments. The connection of peripheral devices – including those from third-party suppliers – and data exchange with machines, control systems and IIoT applications have been implemented.

The B3 control system is a completely new development that incorporates the experience gained from more than 5,000 installed B and B2 systems. It combines the automatic punching press, BSV servo feed and other system components in one control platform. All functions – from the feed to the press to the peripherals – are controlled uniformly via a control panel.

A 21″ touchscreen provides access, and the interface and views can be customized. Thanks to its modular architecture, the B3 is scalable – from simple applications to complex punching processes. A role-based access system with defined user rights reduces operating errors and increases operational reliability. Tool status, press force and position are monitored centrally, while envelope curve monitoring detects deviations in the process at an early stage.

Automatically sort out bad parts

Winner of the “Best Award” in the Punching Technology category at Blechexpo 2025, Kistler is bringing its new Inline Vision & Weld System with Marking-on-the-Fly to Pforzheim. It checks punched parts for dimensional accuracy and surface defects, automatically separates defective parts from the punched strip, then welds them back together and marks the punched parts for seamless traceability. Visitors to Stanztec will be able to see the integration of all these process steps into a consistent system for themselves at stand A48 (hall GS).

Thanks to the Inline Vision & Weld System (IV&WS 512) from Kistler, production remains in flow, even if a defective part is detected. This is made possible by the combination of optical quality inspection with cutting and laser welding technology in a single system. It separates n.i.O. parts from the punched strip fully automatically and then rejoins them using wobble laser welding from Nidec SYS. This ensures that only OK parts are on the punched part reel.

Keyence will also be focusing on two devices in the field of measuring technology at stand D04 (hall KS). Keyence has developed the WM-6000 mobile 3D coordinate measuring machine for large-format and complex workpieces. It enables measurements and scans on the production line without the detour via a measuring room. The system combines intuitive user guidance with visually supported software, which simplifies and speeds up measurement processes. Users can record and evaluate dimensions, shapes and deviations in real time.

The new IM-X digital measuring projector is used to automate and simplify quality inspection processes while maintaining a high level of process reliability. It enables largely automated measurement program creation by importing drawings. Functions such as automatic focusing, optimized lighting and edge detection ensure stable, reproducible measurement results – regardless of the user. The modular IM-X model series offers flexible configurations in terms of measuring table size, laser options and measuring head. This makes the system suitable for larger components as well as for multiple measurements in a single pass.

MES system makes the factory digital

Engineering Manufacturing Solutions will be presenting its EMC MES software for digitalization at stand A17 (hall GS). Starting with the recording of machine data in real time, the software automatically collects, structures and saves this data. It does not matter how old the machines are. Users can visualize what is happening in their production live via dashboards: Capacity utilization, faults, energy consumption. With analyses and reports, they can identify potential, react at an early stage and make data-based decisions.

EMC turns the planning of machine utilization into a kind of navigation app for production: Resources are optimally planned, bottlenecks are identified and enable rapid intervention before things become critical. Important information such as set-up plans, parts lists or inspection instructions are available digitally on MES terminals on the store floor. Every employee receives exactly what they need to be able to work efficiently.

Traceability is easy to implement with EMC. Every step through to the finished product is traceable and transparent at all times. Tools, their modules and inserts are also monitored digitally, which reduces downtimes and costs. Digital machine maintenance ensures availability by automatically scheduling maintenance and intelligently evaluating status data.

New developments among material suppliers

Among the material suppliers, Manfred J.C. Niemann will be presenting a new service concept for slit strips made of copper, brass, bronze or special alloys, bright or refined, at stand C21 (hall MSOG). The Bremen-based company has a slitting center with seven slitting lines. The metal wholesaler Ferd. Haecker (Stand C07, Hall MSOG) has also invested in a new slitting center. The company can now process coils weighing up to 5.5 tons and with an external diameter of 1,500 mm. Cutting widths of 3 to 400 mm and thicknesses of 0.10 to 3 mm are possible. The company wants to offer its customers a greater variety of non-ferrous metals, including high-performance materials. There are also additional options for surface coating. Haecker has paid attention to energy efficiency in the new building, which operates without fossil fuels.

Umicore subsidiary Agosi will be focusing on sustainability at stand C13 (hall MSOG). The metal trader has managed to almost halve its CO2 emissions between 2019 and 2024. With its “Let’s go for zero” ESG approach, Umicore has driven forward industry standards for sustainability, with the aim of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2035.
To make it easier for visitors to get to the fair, the trade fair organizer is offering a free shuttle service to the CCP. The starting point is the parking lot at the coal bunker.
