Space-saving and fully automated: Kasto will be presenting systems for modern intralogistics at Logimat 2024 (March 19 to 21 in Stuttgart). The warehouse specialist will be demonstrating the potential of digitalization in its SmartSolutions Corner at Stand 1L08 in Hall 1.

Visitors to Logimat can experience what digitalization in the warehouse means live in the SmartSolutions Corner of the sawing, storage and handling technology specialist Kasto. The experts will be presenting the Kastologic Warehouse Management System (WMS), for example, which they have designed specifically for long goods and sheet metal storage. This enables users to control and monitor not only the processes in the warehouse, but also the logistics and processing steps before and after. Even manually operated areas can be integrated into the system using the Kastologic mobile app. The user can transmit all processes such as storage and stock transfers, picking, shipping and inventory information to the WMS via handheld, smartphone or tablet.

Cleverly combined and automated

A very current topic at the stand is the space-saving and fully automated complete solution Kastosort Tower. This takes care of processing, including sorting, and operates 24/7. The developers combined reliable technologies to create a highly productive concept consisting of a chain magazine on the infeed side, a Kastovariospeed circular saw, a Kastosort robot and a Kastoecostore storage system. The system is of interest to metalworkers who already use a high-performance Kastovariospeed or Kastotec saw with or without a Kastosort robot. However, it is also possible to connect other Kasto saws. This provides companies with a simple and cost-effective solution for buffering manageable quantities of material.

The Kastosort Tower is made smart by the ProControl control system. This ensures fast, error-free workflows and smooth cooperation between the components. Stock management is possible via the Kastologic software. This allows the user to seamlessly record the goods and track the location of the material at all times.

Avoid errors in the warehouse

The Kastosort Tower incorporates the tried-and-tested Kastoecostore tower storage system. The pallets with the sawn parts are stored there. It impresses with its small footprint and high storage density, flexibility in material storage and short access times. The system also comes with the ProControl machine control system as standard. Thanks to an intuitive user interface with touchscreen, it is easy, quick and error-free to operate.
Also interesting for modern intralogistics: the Unitower long goods and sheet metal storage system with an integrated pick-by-light function. The operator is guided to the required item with the aid of a light beam, saving time and avoiding errors. The Unitower storage systems are controlled by Kasto’s own ProControl and ExpertControl systems. High availability is ensured by the sophisticated service concept, which not only enables round-the-clock telephone advice, rapid spare parts supply and competent on-site support, but also remote monitoring via the Internet.

* Interesting, even if it doesn’t have anything to do with machinery: The most famous products from Achern are not storage systems or sawing machines, but stone fruits. Most of the famous Piedmont cherries for certain schnapps pralines are grown in Achern. Piedmont is more suitable for wine.
