Under the motto “Join the Future”, Schweissen & Schneiden will be presenting everything to do with joining, cutting and coating technology from September 15 to 19, 2025. The focus is not only on pioneering topics such as digitalization, sustainability and recruiting skilled workers. The world’s leading trade fair also takes a look at start-ups with exciting new products.
The future is not just knocking at the door at Schweissen & Schneiden – it is already waiting in the halls of Messe Essen. So if you want to take a look at what’s moving the industry, you don’t have to look far. You will find what you are looking for at the “Young Innovators” stand (Stand 3A47), where young companies will be presenting their very own vision of positive change in the world of work.
One of them is Latai GmbH, which aims to improve occupational safety across the industry. With its product “Dustlight”, it presents a fine dust warning device that is worn on the body during work and alerts the user in real time if limit values are exceeded. Whether in the workshop or in the field – a traffic light warning system with a connected app makes hazards measurable, even if they are only the size of a speck of dust.
Safety at the workplace also plays a central role for Petec Verbindungstechnik GmbH: its work and assembly tables can withstand high loads, but can still be safely adjusted in height thanks to a patented gearbox. This prevents unintentional sagging of the table top due to heavy weights, for example. At Schweissen & Schneiden 2025, height-adjustable welding tables will be exhibited that can withstand weights of up to 5,000 kilograms or have an electrically adjustable table top.
MHC GmbH provides a further outlook on the workstations of the future: with its innovative devices for the work area, users can easily adapt manufacturing processes for small and medium-sized production. In the spirit of sustainability, individual assemblies can be replaced as required, which reduces resource consumption and covers any changes in demand during operation.
Martins GmbH, a specialist for horizontal drilling methods in civil engineering with a particular focus on welding technology, is also one of the participants at the joint stand. The Schmallenberg-based company will be presenting its solution for mobile welding workstations for the first time: the “Weld-Cart”. This is a compact, flexible welding system with a torch-integrated extraction system and innovative hosepack routing via the workstation. The result: more safety, better ergonomics and high mobility. The modular design is compatible with all common welding systems and can be individually adapted to customer requirements.
The mobile welding cobot from Alpaka GmbH & Co. KG saves energy during handling and increases the quality of the weld seam as an automated welding system. It is equipped with the company’s own “SimpliTech” system, which makes it easier to create welding paths. To better position the robot for the industry of the future, Alpaka is working together with the Technical University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt. The aim of the cooperation is to make robot automation available to a wide range of users. To this end, the robot will be able to automatically create and adapt welding paths without any programming knowledge of its own.
WeldNova GmbH is also on the way to further modernizing the production chain. Based on more than ten years of research by the scientific founding team, its magnetically controlled welding process reduces the number of layers during welding and ensures a reduction in material consumption in production. The contactless system is flexible and can be used in various work processes – from laser beam welding to arc welding.
In addition, some start-ups will be presenting their ideas on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 3 p.m. on the Future Hub stage in Hall 7. A varied program covering the trends and developments in the industry awaits you here throughout the trade fair.
