Lamiera 2023 from 10 to 13 May in Milan

After the “unusual” 2022 edition, postponed by a whole year due to the 2021 health crisis, the fair will resume its usual place in the calendar of international events of the sector: the odd years.

Promoted by Ucimu-Sistemi per produrre (Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machine Tools, Robots and Automation Systems) and organized by CEU-Centro Esposizioni Ucimu Macchine, Lamiera once again turns to the public with numerous novelties in order to consolidate its role as a reference fair for a sector in which Italy has a markedly excellent performance.

In 2021, Italy occupied the second place in the world ranking of production thanks to an increase of 18 percent compared to 2020, bringing the value to 2.8 billion euros. China is ahead of Italy with 7.7 billion and Germany follows behind with 2.3 billion.
Italy is still in third place in the export rankings with 1.3 billion euros (+14.4 percent), just behind Germany and China (1.4 billion).
Finally, Italy is the second most important consumer market for sheet metal working and forming technologies with a value of 1.7 billion (+22.7%) after China (7.3 billion).

Investments in new machines are also supported by government measures 4.0, which run until 2025.
In addition to machinery, equipment and facilities for the processing and cutting of sheet metal, tubes, sectional steel, wire and metal construction, presses, tool and die making, the exhibition will focus on six technological topics that are becoming increasingly crucial for the sector:

– Fabbrica Futura – Software and technologies for communication and data management, analysis and security, for automation systems, digital systems and robotic systems for sheet metal working.
– Saldatech with a wide range of the extensive and diversified world of welding technology as one of the most important technologies for joining the sheet metal
– Fastener Industry is dedicated to screws, bolts, tensioning and fastening elements
– The world of heat znd surface treatments – machines, equipment, accessories and consumables combined, for treatments before and after the production of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, to ensure a complete overview of this constantly evolving segment.
– Metrology & Testing focuses on systems, testing, measuring machines and machinery for quality control, which are crucial for industry production
– Blech Italy Service – technical subcontracting and services for the specialized industry

In addition to the exhibited range, Lamiera traditionally offers a rich conference program with cultural and thematic deepenings led by the organizers and exhibitors in a setting specially set up for this purpose in one of the halls to facilitate the free participation of the attending trade visitors.
Partially overlapping the exhibition days of Lamiera and Made in Steel, the fair dedicated to the steel production chain and held in the halls adjacent to Lamiera.
This will benefit both trade visitors and journalists, who will be able to visit two different but complementary exhibitions in one trip.
