MicroStep Europa presents its new CompetenceCenter North to the public with an open day. A varied program awaits visitors to the new branch in Dorsten (NRW) on May 19th.

After an intensive construction phase, MicroStep Europa GmbH moved into the new premises of the Dorsten branch in November 2021. This milestone in the company’s history is now being celebrated and the training and demonstration center presented to the public. OpenDay 2022, the open house, will be held on May 19, starting at 9 a.m. The celebration will feature a varied program and lots of technology.

For MicroStep Europa GmbH, headquartered in the Bavarian-Swabian town of Bad Wörishofen, the Dorsten location has already proven its worth for years as a branch office in the north. For this reason, the local company has taken another big step in its history:

The MicroStep CompetenceCenter North, consisting of an office complex and showroom, was built on the site of the disused Fürst Leopold colliery on an area of 1300 m². Current Microstep systems will be permanently available there for training and demonstration purposes, for example the plasma cutting system of the all-rounder MG series including plasma rotator and oxyfuel rotator, the flexible CNC fiber laser MSF Pro with laser rotator and drilling technology or the waterjet cutting system AquaCut with 3D cutting head. The demonstration center measures around 800 m², while office space, training and meeting rooms have been created on an area of around 500 m². In total, MicroStep invested more than 2.5 million euros.

In November 2021, the employees in Dorsten moved into the new building – in May 2022, this milestone will now be celebrated and the new CompetenceCenter North will be presented to the public. Thus, an open day, OpenDay Dorsten, will be held on May 19 – partners, customers, friends and interested parties are invited. “I invite you to experience a broad selection of our cutting technologies (plasma, laser, oxyfuel, waterjet) and automation solutions live in action under one roof. We have a lot planned for this day with lots of technology, networking and of course an entertaining social program,” says Johannes Ried, Managing Director of MicroStep Europa GmbH.

“OpenDay is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about MicroStep’s high-end systems, large and small, in one day and in one place, enabling our customers to cut and produce ever more effectively and economically,” emphasizes Matthias Hutzler, branch manager at the Dorsten site.
