A shortage of skilled workers, rising production costs, and increasing demands for quality and flexibility are shaping the future of industrial sheet metal processing. RAS is therefore focusing its presentation at Euroblech 2026 on automated bending processes, operator-friendly material handling, and flexible production.
The XLTbend 2, equipped with the Luna robotic automation system, combines swivel bending technology with automated material handling. Two operating modes are available for the production of cassettes, panels, or fold pockets. This allows the machine to be used for both automated series production and operator-guided operation. The system can process sheet metal up to 3 mm thick. A crowning system and the reinforced bending beam ensure consistent bending results even with complex component geometries.
Automation on Demand
With the Multibend-Center Eco, the company is introducing another system for the automatic bending of panels and boxes. The series can be adapted to the required level of automation using different layouts. The range extends from manual loading and unloading to automatic material feeding and stacking of the finished components.
The Profile Center is designed for the automated production of complex profiles, such as door and window frames, elevator car frames, control cabinet components, and cable ducts. The Flexgripper handling system positions, rotates, and flips the components during the bending process. This enables automated production even for single-unit production runs.
For manufacturing tasks that do not require end-to-end automation, RAS presents the Turbo2plus Compact swing-type press brake and the Primecut guillotine shear. The swing-type press brake is designed for bending lengths of up to 4 m. An XXL bending beam provides additional clearance for processing complex component geometries. The guillotine shear enables cuts over a working length of 4,150 mm and processes material thicknesses up to 2.0 mm. According to the manufacturer, the machine is designed for precise cuts that preserve the surface finish.
Components Demonstrate Practical Applications
Selected exhibits from RAS customers at the booth illustrate the possible applications of the machines and automation technology using specific components. Trade visitors can also discuss their specific manufacturing requirements with application experts and learn about machine and automation concepts.
