Personnel changes on the Management Board of thyssenkrupp Steel

At its meeting on October 31, 2025, the Supervisory Board of Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG appointed Marie Jaroni as CEO of the company and extended her contract by five years with effect from November 1, 2025.

The former Spokesman of the Executive Board and COO of Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG, Dennis Grimm, is resigning from his position. The step is being taken by mutual agreement. Ilse Henne, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board: “Dennis Grimm has assumed responsibility for steel at Thyssenkrupp in a challenging phase and, in addition to numerous operational improvements, has played a decisive role in shaping a new industrial concept and initiated the urgently needed restructuring. The Supervisory Board would like to thank Dennis Grimm for this and wishes him all the best and continued success.”

At its meeting, the Supervisory Board also extended the contract of CFO Philipp Conze, CFO of thyssenkrupp Steel since April 1, 2024, by five years with effect from November 1, 2025.

In addition to his role as CHRO of Thyssenkrupp AG, Wilfried von Rath has been appointed Labor Director and Chief Human Resources Officer and will be in charge of Human Resources at Steel from November 1, 2025.

Some of the Executive Board responsibilities will be temporarily reassigned. Dr. Marie Jaroni will temporarily assume operational responsibility for production and strategic corporate management as well as other functional areas. The position of Chief Production Officer will be filled in a structured process as soon as possible. Her current area of responsibility will be continued on an interim basis by the current Head of Sales, Georgios Giovanakis.
