The machine manufacturer Schwarze-Robitec is represented at this year’s Tube in Düsseldorf with three CNC tube bending machines for high demands in large-scale and series production: a CNC 40 Rotary, a CNC 80 E TB MR with Circular Cutting Device exhibited as a fully automatic bending cell and a CNC E 25 Orbital.

Schwarze-Robitec will once again be represented at this year’s Tube, the world’s leading trade fair for the tube industry. With three tube bending machines from the High-Performance series, the company is providing information on innovative tube bending solutions. As one of the three machines, the CNC 40 Rotary will be available to interested trade visitors. The pipe bending machine has a freely rotatable bending head and can therefore bend pipes both left and right. This is particularly advantageous for tight bending radii. The rotary machines are designed for use under continuous and long-term stress in large-scale and series production and are characterized above all by their flexibility. Tubes with complex geometries are bent in a single work step at high speed and in a short cycle time.

Fully electric and very efficient

Schwarze-Robitec’s CNC 80 E TB MR is an all-electric multi-radius tube bending machine that combines the two process steps of bending and cutting, thus enabling short cycle times. Thanks to the “Circular Cutting Device” patented by Schwarze-Robitec and implemented in the machine, tubes can be cut into individual pieces without material waste. Three cutting wheels move around the pipe several times at 120° intervals and gradually cut it off. According to Schwarze-Robitec, no chips are produced and the cutting quality is excellent, so that no additional calibration is required. At this year’s Tube, the CNC 80 E TB MR will be integrated into a fully automatic bending cell. All production steps relating to bending are thus optimally interlinked.

The compact CNC E 25 Orbital can be used to bend individual busbars and entire systems into complex geometries. The clever machine design enables bending over both the flat and the high side of the conductor rails. Whether copper or aluminum with or without insulation – the CNC E 25 Orbital offers high speed with great precision and thus meets the demanding requirements of the e-automotive industry, according to the manufacturer.
