Lantek is presenting its Lantek V44 software update at Euroblech. With its “Connected, Live, Smart” approach, it aims to “redefine” production efficiency.

According to Lantek, V44 represents a significant leap forward in smart factory technology. The software update improves factory connectivity, data flow and decision making thanks to advanced tools. Lantek’s comprehensive suite now offers real-time insight and will transform the way sheet metal manufacturing works. “Euroblech is the right platform to introduce Lantek V44, our most advanced software suite to date,” assures Christoph Lenhard, Sales Manager at Lantek Germany. “By seamlessly integrating connectivity, real-time insights and intelligent decision making tools, this update will enable factories to reach completely new levels of efficiency and competitiveness.”

New technology: Machine Connectivity

Machine Connectivity is a step forward in sheet metal processing, as the technology connects the signals from the production machines directly to the production control system (MES). This enables real-time communication with store floor management systems and provides precise control over 2D and 3D operations.
At its core, this technology is integrated into the Opentalk module of MES WOS and creates an interface to machine control systems for the automatic validation of operations. Workflows are streamlined, manual intervention is reduced and the accuracy of production data is guaranteed. Machine Connectivity provides managers with real-time insights into machine performance, helping them to identify bottlenecks and optimize planning. The Control Panel module makes the power of Machine Connectivity visible: as a cloud-based web dashboard, it enables monitoring of machine status, diagnosis of maintenance issues and insights into daily production performance. By connecting MES and CAD-CAM systems and machine control systems, Machine Connectivity technology increases the efficiency, accuracy and control of the entire production process.

Assembly to nesting: Next level 3D import

The 3D Importer Assembly to Nesting (A2N) is another important innovation in Lantek V44 that allows users to import and process 3D CAD file formats for quoting and manufacturing. The module automatically recognizes the design structure, whether it is sheet metal or tube parts, profiles or supplier elements. And it even recognizes the structure of complete assemblies. Its user-friendly interface provides a dual preview of components in 2D and 3D and displays the unfolded shape in real time. It also supports the recognition of standard chamfers and automatically assigns the appropriate technology when the parts data is transferred to Lantek Expert for manufacturing after the quotation is accepted. “By simplifying the import process and providing instant data visualization, Assembly to Nesting helps sheet metal fabricators maximize the efficiency of quoting and manufacturing while ensuring a seamless workflow between design and manufacturing,” says Lenhard.

Further key features

Lantek Expert V44, the improvement to Lantek’s 2D CAD CAM software, introduces a new advanced nesting strategy based on production flow parameters such as customer data, manufacturing routing and delivery dates. The new import wizard provides smarter DXF/DWG geometry cleansing and layer management, streamlining data import and increasing efficiency. Lantek Flex3D V44, the evolution of Lantek’s 3D CAD CAM software, optimizes tube and profile cutting with an improved driver that increases speed, precision and flexibility. In response to the new and ever-increasing demand for cutting technology services for the production of structural profiles, many features of Lantek Flex3D have been improved, including the control of advanced robotic cutting heads.
With the new MES Intralogistics application, Lantek improves the management and tracking of raw material supply from the warehouse to the cutting workstations.
