Modern supplier companies meet high standards, particularly in the automotive industry – transparency, efficiency, flexibility, quality and reliability are key factors. The Craemer Group is one of the internationally established partners in this field – with the large-scale production of metal automotive components and plastic load carriers. With over a century of experience in metal processing, the family-run company now operates as a full-service sheet metal converter with maximum vertical integration. The “everything from a single source” approach makes Craemer a sought-after supplier in other industrial sectors beyond the automotive industry.

The company was founded in 1912 with the establishment of a metal factory – the foundation stone for today’s Craemer Group with four production sites in Europe. In 1958, Craemer expanded its portfolio to include plastics processing. As a specialist in metal forming with its own tool shop, the company produces at its headquarters in Herzebrock-Clarholz, in Liptovský Mikuláš in Slovakia since 1997 and in Attendorn in the Sauerland region since 2015.
Comprehensive expertise in in-house toolmaking
Craemer’s Metal Forming division develops and manufactures complex stamped and formed parts – primarily for the automotive industry. The range of applications includes structural components for vehicle seats, doors, bows, chassis components and belt systems. The production of formed parts with individual weights of up to five kilograms takes place on highly automated press lines.
The basis of metal forming is our in-house toolmaking department, which designs, constructs and produces all tools precisely for series production. The close integration of forming technology and tool development ensures high process stability, precision and cost-effectiveness – this is particularly true for large series with demanding tolerance specifications.

Internationally established supplier
As a supplier of high-quality formed parts, the Craemer Group is internationally established not only in the automotive and commercial vehicle industries but also in the large household and heating appliance sectors. In the white goods sector, the company supplies metal parts for leading global brands, including rear panels for washing machines and tumble dryers as well as components for hot water storage tanks with article weights of up to 19 kilograms.
Individual parts and assemblies are manufactured from various materials such as sheet steel, high-strength sheet steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel and sheet aluminium with material thicknesses of up to five millimetres. Carbon neutral steel is also processed at the customer’s request. Production is carried out using progressive and transfer tools on modern servo presses with press forces of between 3,150 and 25,000 kilonewtons and table lengths of up to eight meters.
Vertical integration as a differentiating feature
The outstanding vertical integration is a key differentiating feature of the Craemer Group. Thanks to consistent vertical integration and extensive in-house production, development processes, technical innovations and cost structures can be optimally coordinated – even when individual process steps are specifically outsourced, Craemer retains full responsibility for the entire value chain.
The comprehensive range of services extends from product design and development, including feasibility analyses, simulations and concept studies, 3D design and reverse engineering to in-house toolmaking and the series production of ready-to-install metal assemblies. This enables the company to guarantee flexible and customized complete solutions that are precisely tailored to the customer’s requirements.

Reliable complete solution provider
Whether small, medium or large series – Craemer takes on the complete production including just-in-time delivery concepts, thus ensuring efficiency, quality and adherence to delivery dates. The intensive exchange with customers, partners and industry experts as well as continuous investment in state-of-the-art technologies and specialist expertise underline the company’s role as a reliable complete solution provider.
Craemer is active in the automotive industry as both a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier, supplying metal formed parts directly to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and first-tier suppliers such as seat manufacturers. Numerous awards and certifications from renowned global automotive suppliers confirm the company’s performance and innovative strength in the field of complete system solutions.
Craemer will be present at the Blechexpo in Stuttgart (21.-24.10.2025), Hall 4, Stand 4111.
About the Craemer Group
The internationally active Craemer Group is one of the most experienced specialists in metal forming and toolmaking (both since 1912) and in plastics processing (since 1958). The fifth-generation family-run company operates four production sites in Europe and a global sales network. In 2024, Craemer achieved a total output of around 360 million euros with around 1,100 employees.

As a full-service metal forming company and plastics specialist, Craemer relies on a high level of in-house production depth and consistently sustainable processes. In-house toolmaking forms the technical basis for series-ready metal and plastic products. It is part of an interdisciplinary technology center at the headquarters in Herzebrock-Clarholz, East Westphalia, which links research, development and design across all locations. This is where customized solutions based on state-of-the-art technology are created.
Certified in accordance with TISAX, IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, 14001 and 50001, the company also pursues clear environmental goals in production. The energy-intensive processes are offset by the use of renewable energies. For example, the plastic injection molding plant in Oelde, which will open in 2023, will operate entirely without gas and will be supplied by the company’s own wind power and photovoltaic systems in future.
