Due to very good experiences in the joint past, the Czech Technical University Prague is expanding its range of Kuka robots. The order is the largest institutional investment in robot technology in Eastern Europe to date.

The Institute of Computer Science, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC CTU) at the Technical University of Prague has ordered 23 more Kuka products. The LBR iiwa robots, KMR iiwa mobile robots and Ready2_educate cells will be implemented in the emerging RICAIP international research centre at CIIRC CTU, supported by EU and Czech Republic funds (H2020 and OP RDE).

One of the largest single orders of a teaching institution

The basis for the order in the single-digit million range within the framework of a public contract award was the very good experience of the past and the broad Kuka product range, which offers complete solutions from a single source. The order represents one of the largest single orders placed by a teaching institution. The order was completed in the third quarter of 2020, and the final parts are expected to be delivered in early 2021.
