The Tettnang-based family business wenglor sensoric has received the Red Dot Award in the Product Design category for its inductive ring sensors. The prestigious award is one of the largest design competitions in the world and is regarded as an internationally coveted seal of quality. In addition to outstanding design quality, the award-winning projects also impress with their innovative ideas.
With its inductive ring sensors, the Wenglor Sensoric Group has set new standards in the reliable and precise detection of small metal parts inside feed hoses. These sensors combine innovative design with sensory precision. Their separable housing with a two-part coil enables quick and flexible mounting and removal of the sensor on the feed hose, thus solving a common problem in the industry, as the assembly process is made considerably easier. In addition, machine downtimes are minimized when changing hoses or carrying out necessary repairs.
The robust and compact design with the cable outlet in the direction of the hose also makes it easier to use in confined spaces, while the all-round visible LED display and intuitive plug & play connection ensure a high level of user-friendliness.
Fabian Baur, Managing Director of the Wenglor Sensoric Group: “We are delighted that the expert jury of the Red Dot Award has recognized the sophisticated combination of attractive design and powerful technology of our inductive ring sensors. Our motivation was to develop ring sensors that are precisely tailored to the needs of the industry in order to optimize processes and make them smoother and more efficient. We are proud that our functional and innovative product design has now been recognized.”
The Red Dot Award: Product Design is one of the most prestigious and largest design competitions in the world. Companies can enter their products in 51 different categories. The award-winning products in all categories will be presented during the week of June 19 at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen and online at www.red dot.org.
