With the P1PY21x series, the Wenglor Sensoric Group is setting new standards in sensor technology. As the first sensor with time-of-flight technology, the P1PY21x works with a blue laser. Even under extreme conditions, the Wintec with blue light delivers precise measurement results.

Thanks to the shorter wavelength, blue laser light does not penetrate as deeply into the object surface, enabling stable detection of dark, shiny, organic or (semi-)transparent materials. An integrated special filter ensures reliable detection even in the event of interference from highly emitting objects such as glowing metals. Equipped with Dynamic Sensitivity technology, the Wintec is a possible solution for complex applications in automation technology.

The integrated BlueLine technology is based on short-wave, blue laser light with a wavelength of 445 nm and achieves a high level of accuracy on challenging surfaces such as glossy plastics, dark paints or polished metals. Even red-hot surfaces in the metal industry are reliably detected. The reduced penetration depth of the blue laser ensures reliable detection of organic materials and can be operated safely in accordance with laser class 2. In addition, the P1PY21x series can even cope with uneven surfaces with holes, tears or grid structures with a wide detection range thanks to the large linear laser light spot.

Advanced functions make the Wintec with blue light versatile for a wide range of measuring tasks. The dynamic step detection reacts to changes in the measured value and thus enables the detection of flat objects on an uneven surface, for example. Even the finest contrasts are detected by means of intensity evaluation, ensuring precise part inspection according to height and color. Velocities can be measured contact-free and wear-free, even over long distances and regardless of the surface quality of the test object.

The P1PY21x series offers reliable detection of black, shiny and inclined surfaces as well as the smallest objects thanks to its high black sensitivity and optimized angular behavior. With a working range of five meters and the ability to detect transparent objects, the laser distance sensors achieve accurate results even with very weak signals.
The Wintec with blue light also scores highly in terms of ease of use. Thanks to the high-contrast OLED display, the measurement data can be read effortlessly even in challenging lighting conditions. Parameters are configured directly via the clear menu, which makes commissioning and adjustment particularly user-friendly. The integrated Bluetooth functionality enables wireless parameterization and data transfer via the WeCon app. As the sensors can be configured remotely, this offers an efficient solution for sensors that are difficult to access or for installations in large numbers.
