Under the motto “Next level deburring. Pure innovation.”, visitors to the Arku Info Days in mid-May experienced pioneering technologies for deburring sheet metal parts and straightening sheets and coils. A look back.

The burr on fiber parts is often particularly hard and tough due to the high energy input during the cutting process. Conventional deburring machines often reach their limits here – with incomplete edge processing or increased time expenditure. This is exactly where the new EdgeBreaker 3000 Fiber comes in: It combines a powerful abrasive belt for double-sided deburring with special rounding blocks that reliably remove even hard burrs and round the edges cleanly at the same time.
According to Arku, the result: 50 percent time savings by processing both sides in one pass – and a surface quality that meets customer requirements.
“With the EdgeBreaker 3000 Fiber, we are taking the deburring of fiber parts to a new level,” promises Andreas Hellriegel, Head of Sales at Arku.
Innovations for all cutting processes
Arku also offers a real “next level” for classic punched and laser parts: The new EdgeBreaker 3000 Next is the most economical form of double-sided deburring. Processing is efficient, reliable and with reproducible results – particularly useful for customers with high quantities and quality requirements. A special innovation: the machine can process sheet metal parts with a width of up to 2,000 mm.
The large glass front at the front of the machine provides a clear view of the work area, which makes process monitoring and control much easier. At the same time, this new EdgeBreaker generation is up to 40 percent more energy efficient thanks to an innovative drive concept.
“The best of both worlds”
Arku presents the powerful EdgeBreaker 9000 LINE solution for flame-cut parts. It handles the complete double-sided processing of your flame-cut parts after plasma cutting in just one pass: slag removal, deburring and edge rounding. The system processes flame-cut parts with a material thickness of up to 100 mm.

“Intelligent” machine control with the Arku Wizard
The new Arku Wizard has already simplified the operation of deburring and straightening machines. At the touch of a button, the machine automatically finds the optimum settings for the respective workpiece. This not only saves set-up time, but also improves repeat accuracy – regardless of the machine operator’s experience.
The future of straightening: precision for thin and thick sheets
In the straightening area, Arku will be showcasing its entire range of precision straightening machines, from the compact EcoMaster for smaller components to the powerful FlatMaster. This part straightening machine can reliably process flame-cut parts up to 60 mm thick. However, the focus was not only on the straightening of individual sheet metal parts – the straightening and processing of coils was also a central focus of the Info Days.
Coil laser systems increase material efficiency
Another highlight at the Info Days was the topic of coil laser systems – a development in collaboration with Trumpf. It enables sheet metal processors to flexibly produce even medium batch sizes from coil. This produces much less waste when cutting parts compared to laser cutting from the standard PCB. By eliminating the format limits, sheet metal parts can be nested more efficiently. This enables material savings of 30 percent for large parts.

Retrofit: modernize sustainably instead of buying new
In addition to new systems, Arku is also focusing on retrofitting: modernizing existing conveyor systems offers companies an economical and sustainable alternative to purchasing new ones. Targeted retrofitting can significantly increase performance, energy efficiency and the degree of automation – while at the same time reducing investment. Arku provides individual and practical advice on how existing systems can be made fit for the future.
