Reliable and productive solution for cost-effective 2D laser processing

Platino Linear 1530, the new 2D laser solution from Prima Power, is equipped with an 8 kW fiber laser and stands out as an efficient and easy-to-use solution for processing all materials and shapes with high cutting quality. This machine offers a balance between Prima Power’s expertise and quality and affordable investment and operating costs. At Euroblech 2024, the Platino Linear will be presented with features that further increase its overall profitability.

The maintenance-free linear drive increases machine uptime and reduces operating costs thanks to its high energy efficiency.
With its compact footprint, the Platino Linear achieves best-in-class throughput per square meter with a 22 percent reduced footprint.
It also offers lower cost per part, with gas savings of up to 40 percent, lower energy consumption and sheet utilization of up to 96 percent.

Advanced cutting options such as Gas Mixer Cut and Eco Touch Cut optimize cutting processes by increasing speed, reducing gas consumption and minimizing burr formation on a wide range of materials. The Compact Server loading and unloading system optimizes overall throughput per square meter thanks to its minimal additional space requirements, making it one of Prima Power’s best-selling automation solutions. Its seamless integration ensures reliability and easy material management and increases efficiency through precise handling of raw materials and finished parts.

Universal robot-based bending cell for 24/7 high-performance use

The robot-based Prima Power bending cell on display in Hanover integrates the “eP Genius 1030” press brake with automatic tool changing system and a seven-axis articulated arm robot, which connects the press brake to a Night Train racking system to form a fully automated flexible manufacturing system. This system enables versatile production with high efficiency, repeatability and intensive use for a fast return on investment by combining the flexibility of the robot with the quality of the servo-electric press brake.
The universal bending cell is profitable for both small and large batches as it enables easy part programming, automatic gripper change and modular automatic tool change.

This is up to 30 percent faster than the market average. The efficiency of unmanned production enables fully automated operation, eliminating all manual intervention except for the removal of finished parts from the work area. Automatic material handling by the robot includes picking up the material from the night train, centering the part, turning by the sheet reverser (if required), bending and palletizing.

The automatic gripper change takes place at the same time as the ATC (Automatic Tool Changer) changes the tool in the eP press brake.
The robot-based bending cell can be integrated into a Prima Power flexible manufacturing system, creating a completely unmanned process that combines raw material cutting, punching and bending with intermediate and automatic handling phases.

Better solution for right-angled parts

The PSBB line (Punch-Shear-Buffer-Bend) is a fully integrated system that is suitable for the production of rectangular parts and thin materials. The combination presented at Euroblech includes the Shear Genius 1530 Evo combined punching and shearing system and the Express Bender EBe 2726 FM folding machine. The PSBB line offers integrated automation that enables 24/7 automated production for kits, series and mass production. By reducing manual operations with low added value, Prima Power says the PSBB line leads to four times higher production efficiency compared to conventional manufacturing cells.

Prima Power has 40 years of expertise in technological integration, supplying in-house designed and manufactured systems that fully integrate machinery, automation and software. The Shear Genius 1530 Evo is designed for rectangular parts and offers the lowest cost per part and the highest productivity. It combines various processes such as punching, forming, tapping, marking and shearing with a maximum of 600 tools available in the machine without additional tool storage. According to the manufacturer, this integration results in unbeatable productivity for rectangular parts in combination with outstanding cutting quality.

With the longest shear length in its class, it reduces the number of shear strokes and thus shortens the cycle time. With high sheet utilization, low energy consumption and minimal maintenance, it ensures reliable and sustainable production. The integration of the Fast Loading Storage, which loads sheet by sheet, offers an efficient and economical solution when production requirements call for rapid raw material changes. The bending solution integrated into the PSBB line exhibited at Euroblech is an Express Bender EBe2726 FM.

This all-electric bending machine extends the bending capabilities of the production line with its new bending height of 264 mm, making it even more suitable for the production of switch cabinets, mailboxes, lockers, architectural structures and fire protection boxes. The DNP (Device for Narrow Parts) option also enables the bending of narrow parts and profiles. The Express Bender exhibited in Hanover is equipped with all options. Key features include advanced measurement systems, such as the Sheet Metal Thickness Measurement System (TMS), which automatically measures the thickness of the flat sheet in non-productive time, as well as the patented Advanced Profile Inspection (API), which makes corrections to a bend to achieve the target angle within the required tolerance.
