The Cologne-based company Schwarze-Robitec will once again be represented as the tube bending partner for e-mobility at this year’s Battery Show Europe Expo in Stuttgart. The machine manufacturer will be exhibiting its CNC E 25 Orbital tube bending machine, which is designed for bending busbars, at stand 6-D60. Around 19,000 visitors are expected to attend this year’s renowned trade fair for battery, electric and hybrid vehicle technology in Stuttgart from June 18 to 20.
The proportion of electric vehicles newly registered in Germany in 2023 rose to around 18 percent last year. The transition to electromobility poses new challenges for car manufacturers, which also have an impact on the entire supply chain. In addition to production speed and machine availability, precision is required when processing lightweight materials in e-car production. The tube bending process for electromobility therefore focuses on particularly thin-walled tubes that have to be bent into increasingly complex and asymmetrical shapes. The machine manufacturer Schwarze-Robitec aims to meet precisely these requirements with its machines, positioning itself as an expert in the tube bending process for electromobility. An automation partner for e-mobility Schwarze-Robitec has seen a significant increase in requests for customized tube bending machines for the automotive industry in recent years. The requirements here are high: in addition to individual configurability, a high degree of machine automation is required in order to be able to process large quantities. The powerful tube bending machines in Schwarze-Robitec’s high-performance series bend not only classic round tubes but also complex and asymmetrical shapes with a wide variety of cross-sections. At the same time, they are designed for the high cycle rate of automobile production. Schwarze-Robitec will be exhibiting the CNC E25 Orbital from the machine series on stand 6-D60 at this year’s Battery Show Europe Expo. The compact tube bending machine is tailored to the requirements of the e-car industry and bends individual busbars and entire systems into complex geometries. Bending is possible via both the flat and the high side of the conductor rails – at high speed and with high precision. Schwarze-Robitec’s experts will be on hand at stand 6-D60 to answer any questions about its innovative solutions for tube and bus bar bending and production automation for e-mobility. Facts & Figures Founded in 1903, the company is one of the leading international experts in the field of tube cold bending machines. The manufacturer currently employs 100 people at its headquarters in Cologne. The company is represented worldwide by long-standing partner companies. Schwarze-Robitec has been present in North America for more than 40 years, with its own subsidiary since 2015. The company manufactured the world’s first CNC tube bending machine back in 1977. To date, more than 3,000 machines have been sold, many of which have been in unrestricted production use for more than 35 years. In addition to tube bending machines and bending tools, Schwarze-Robitec’s product range also includes tube perforating machines, measuring systems, solutions for special machine construction and fully automatic bending cells. Without exception, the pipe bending expert’s reference list includes all well-known manufacturers in the automotive industry, the energy sector and shipbuilding. The company’s solutions are also used in aerospace and many other industries. Web: www.schwarze-robitec.de
