Matthias Bader from Aalen celebrated his 60th birthday on June 14. The entrepreneur and industry expert can look back on a successful career in the surface coating industry.

Matthias Bader was born on June 14, 1964 in Aalen as the fifth child. After training as an industrial clerk, he started his career at Buck in Munich. He held various positions there and gained extensive experience in all areas.

In 1986, he founded his own company, Bader Pulverbeschichtung GmbH. Under his leadership, the company quickly developed into a leading supplier of powder coatings in the region. Bader always focused on innovative approaches and invested heavily in research and development. This led to several innovation awards and patents.

In 2023, Matthias Bader handed over his company to the EBG Group as part of a succession plan.

Industry commitment and passion for training and further education

In addition to his entrepreneurial activities, Matthias Bader also shows great commitment to the industry. Since 2001, he has been passionately committed to the vocational training of process mechanics for coating technology. He took over the chairmanship of the technical commission of the QIB e.V. in 2009 and has been sharing his extensive expertise as a trainer at the Powder Academy since 2016. In these roles, he makes a significant contribution to the further development of the industry.

The Powder Academy was founded in 2016 by Matthias Bader. This independent educational institution offers training and further education in the field of powder coating. The academy is aimed at both beginners and advanced students. The workshops, which take place directly in the company’s coating plant, are a particular highlight. Here, participants can experience the coating process up close, identify optimizations and implement them directly.
