Verisurf Software, a provider of innovative measurement solutions for manufacturing companies, will be highlighting a joint solution with Renishaw at Emo (Hall 6 Stand A35) that enables surface finish measurement as well as reporting for CNC CMMs.

“The surface finish measurement function is included in Verisurf 2024. In conjunction with a Renishaw probe, Verisurf CMM programming can perform a defined surface finish/roughness assessment from 6.3 μm to 0.05 μm Ra, with the results being included in automatic quality reporting,” explains Kai Gärtling, Regional Sales Manager at Verisurf. “This is made possible by Verisurf support for the Renishaw Revo multi-sensor 5-axis measurement system. Surface finish measurement is fully integrated with Verisurf’s standard CMM inspection program and includes automatic probe change based on the inspection plan, eliminating CMM downtime and maximizing inspection throughput.”
The Renishaw probe works on a wide range of surfaces – including 2, 5 or 10 micron radius holes – and can output Ra, RMS and raw data for further analysis and reporting. In combination with Verisurf, the probe provides detailed and precise data. They can be verified against a nominal 3D CAD model and help users make informed decisions about component quality and acceptability.
For the set goal of optimally connecting metrology and manufacturing, the new Verisurf 2024 software release includes nearly 100 new productivity workflows, powerful tools, enhanced features, and expanded sensor and device compatibility. The strengths of the new version include ease of use, stability, flexibility and intelligent workflows – resulting in increased efficiency, quality and throughput. Among the highlights of Verisurf 2024 is the new Reference Point System (RPS) alignment. It speeds part alignment with precise control by seamlessly connecting measured points to referenced set points. RPS alignment is critical for compliance with alignment strategies that are often required, especially in the automotive industry.
At EMO in Hanover, Verisurf is making its first appearance with Accurate Gauging and Instruments Ltd. Accurate Gauging is India’s leading manufacturer of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and also offers other metrology products and services. Verisurf and Accurate Gauging recently signed a sales and support agreement to represent Verisurf Software in India.
