In future, Deburringexpo will no longer be held as a stand-alone event, but will be incorporated into the new Parts Finishing trade fair, which will be held for the first time on 12. and November 13, 2025 will take place. The new two-day event combines the topics of deburring technologies, component cleaning and surface finishing and will be held at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Center.
Megatrends such as the mobility and energy transition, demographic change and digitalization pose new challenges for the economy and society, but also offer opportunities. They require manufacturing companies to develop new products and adapted production strategies, right down to the supplier sector. These changes are not without impact on the trade fair landscape.
“After many discussions with exhibitors at Deburringexpo and intensive observation of the development of various trade fairs, we have decided to no longer hold the trade fair for deburring technologies as an independent event,” reports Hartmut Herdin, Managing Director of the private trade fair organizer FairXperts GmbH & Co. KG. “In future, the topic of deburring technologies will be bundled together with the areas of component cleaning and surface finishing in the new, two-day Parts Finishing trade fair.” Surface finishing includes the process steps of fine and ultra-fine grinding, polishing, honing, lapping, vibratory grinding, blasting and brushing.
Trade fair date for Parts Finishing changed
With this innovative concept, the experienced trade fair organizer has met with a very positive response in the market and has already received registrations from well-known plant manufacturers, among others. “The discussions also revealed that many interested companies have already finalized and budgeted their trade fair plans for this year. We have therefore decided to postpone the start of Parts Finishing by one year and launch it on 12. and November 13, 2025 at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Center,” says Hartmut Herdin, explaining the postponement. The event will then take place every two years in the odd-numbered years.
Effective cost-benefit ratio
By bundling these three important and quality-critical areas in parts production, as well as the two-day duration of the trade fair, the organizer is meeting the requirements and wishes of the market. “More and more companies are questioning the cost-benefit ratio of traditional trade fair participation,” explains Hartmut Herdin. “A lot of stand space is required to present machines on the stand, for example, which drives up costs. Today, performance and expertise can also be presented very well digitally.” These considerations have been incorporated into the trade fair concept for Parts Finishing. On the one hand, it enables those responsible for parts production to obtain condensed information about solutions and promotes dialog between users and exhibitors in the cross-process development of solutions for special applications. On the other hand, shortening the trade fair to two days saves costs for travel, accommodation and personnel. “This aspect is supported by high-quality, turnkey and customizable stand packages at fixed costs, which save time, money and resources right from the trade fair preparation stage,” adds the trade fair organizer.
The Parts Finishing concept is therefore specifically geared towards the purpose of trade fairs: Establishing and maintaining contacts between users and suppliers as well as creating and deepening networks between exhibitors. “The latter makes it possible to form strategic partnerships and tackle new projects together as a system supplier,” notes Hartmut Herdin.
