In times of economic challenges and increasing demand for sus-tainable production processes, many companies rely on strate-gic partnerships to remain competitive. LBI oil free, a pioneer in the field of oil-free lubricants, has expanded its partner net-work worldwide in recent years. Through strategic networking with partners such as Albromet and REA, LBI oil free is setting standards in the industry. The combination of technical innova-tion, sound market knowledge and a consistent focus on sus-tainability gives the company a strong position in international competition. For the future, LBI oil free will remain true to its philosophy: sustainability through networking.
Johannes Lülsdorf, Managing Director and Head of the Devel-opment Department, explains in an interview how LBI oil free benefits from collaborating with companies such as Albromet and REA and why networking is essential today.
Question: Mr. Lülsdorf, LBI oil free has two strong partners at its side in Albromet and REA. What role do strategic partnerships play for your company?
Lülsdorf: Partnerships are essential for us. They not only open up new market access for us, but also the opportunity to pre-sent products together and benefit from the respective exper-tise of the partner. In the case of Albromet, our lubricants complement their tube bending tools perfectly. This collabora-tion helps us to create innovative solutions that offer our cus-tomers clear competitive advantages – for example through im-proved environmental friendliness and reduced production costs.
Question: How do your customers actually benefit from these cooperations?
Lülsdorf: Thanks to partnerships such as those with Albromet and REA, we can offer our customers more comprehensive solu-tions that are optimally coordinated with each other. Our oil-free lubricants and the tube bending tools from Albromet or the DOD-Lube systems from REA complement each other per-fectly. Customers can rely on the fact that all components work together optimally and thus increase the efficiency and sustain-ability of their production processes. This not only reduces costs, but also protects the environment.
Question: In addition to technical compatibility, partnerships are also about a joint market presence, aren’t they?
Lülsdorf: Exactly. We use trade fairs such as Euroblech specifi-cally to present ourselves together with our partners and show innovative, networked solutions to our customers. A joint brand presence gives us greater visibility and signals to customers that we offer well thought-out overall solutions. Our approach is to present ourselves not just as a supplier of a product, but as a problem solver for the entire process chain – this strengthens the trust of our customers.
Question: LBI oil free is currently expanding its partner network worldwide. Can you tell us more about your plans in this area?
Lülsdorf: Expanding our partner network is a strategic goal for us. In addition to our cooperation with companies such as Albromet and REA, we are constantly looking for new partners that complement our product range in a meaningful way. These include suppliers of high-quality raw materials as well as pro-viders of innovative technologies that benefit our oil-free lubri-cants. The aim is to create sustainable added value for our cus-tomers through these networks and alliances and to continu-ously improve our portfolio.
Question: That sounds like a comprehensive approach. What other partners would be of interest to you?
Lülsdorf: We are particularly interested in working with com-panies whose products gain value through our lubricants. Here is an example: Our lubricants are particularly suitable for appli-cations in which the product should be as clean and efficient as possible, such as in electronics production or medical technol-ogy. We are currently examining a collaboration with several companies that are active in these areas in order to jointly de-velop environmentally friendly solutions for production pro-cesses. This will ensure our competitiveness in the future and enable us to react more quickly to market requirements.
Question: You mentioned the current economic situation. How is the partner network helping you to remain competitive in these times?
Lülsdorf: Partnerships offer us the opportunity to operate more efficiently and resources-saving. By working closely with part-ners, we can draw on their resources and knowledge, which saves costs and speeds up product development. This flexibility helps us to remain competitive and offer our customers the best price-performance ratio, especially in economically chal-lenging times. Together, we can also overcome major challeng-es and develop innovative solutions that might not be possible on our own.
Question: What role do your development department and in-house laboratory play in this?
Lülsdorf: Our development department is the heart of our col-laboration with our partners. Here we test the application pos-sibilities of new products and work on their continuous im-provement. In our laboratory, we develop customized lubri-cants that are optimally tailored to the requirements of our partners and our mutual customers. This close integration of development and partnership makes us particularly flexible and enables us to react quickly to new market requirements.
Question: Finally: What is your vision for the future of LBI oil free and your partner network?
Lülsdorf: We are striving to further expand our network and open up additional markets. The aim is to create a global net-work based on sustainability and innovation. We want to offer our customers solutions that sustainably improve their produc-tion processes while reducing their environmental footprint. We can only achieve this through strong partnerships with companies that share our values and are willing to work with us to create an industry that is fit for the future.
Question: Thank you very much, Mr. Lülsdorf, for the interesting interview and the exciting insights into the strategic direction of LBI oil free.
About LBI oil free
LBI oil free specializes in oil-free high-tech lubricants and the appropriate dispensing technology. Equipped with its own la-boratory, LBI offers metalworking companies individual lubri-cants that eliminate the need for time-consuming cleaning of workpieces and machines. In addition to the development of individual lubricants, for which the company also offers the ap-propriate dispensing technology, the medium-sized company’s portfolio also includes training, on-site installations, mainte-nance and testing as well as repairs. The lubricants are based on regenerative and synthetic polymers that are biodegradable, as the formulas do not contain chlorine, silicone or heavy metals. This makes them a forward-looking alternative to conventional forming lubricants or forming oil.
