Anyone who has been missing an individual gripper solution for the manual vacuum tube lifter Jumbo will now find one: Schmalz combines the proven elements of its Tooling System SXT with a new connection, thus introducing the flexible modular component system in the Handling Systems business unit.

Complex shaped components are not only found in automated manufacturing. If, for example, the worker had to handle strongly curved workpieces manually, he lacked a standard option for this despite the versatile gripper selection for the Jumbo tube lifters. Until now, such grippers had to be individually designed as a special solution.

J. Schmalz GmbH is now changing that with the Tooling System SXT. Tried and tested as a component for vacuum automation, the modular system now also enables the implementation of complex gripper solutions for standard components on Jumbo tube lifters. By using particularly lightweight and standardized SXT individual components, the user is enabled to move loads ergonomically and comfortably with individual grippers when working with the Jumbo tube lifter.

To ensure that the finished load receptor then also fits on the JumboFlex or JumboErgo, Schmalz has developed new connection assemblies. The maximum weight of the workpiece so that the SXT gripper can lift it safely is determined by the load capacity of the tube lifter used. In order to perfectly adapt the gripper to the required application, it is assembled on site at Schmalz in Glatten directly on the customer workpiece. This guarantees an ideal and functionally reliable solution. The Schmalz Tooling System is now available for selected variants of the Jumbo series.
