Yaskawa’s Motoman Weld4Me solution offers metalworking companies a simple solution for getting started with robotics. However, the combination of collaborative robot and simple user interface does not force the user to forego important professional welding functions.

Using the hand-guided Motoman HC10DT IP67 collaborative robot, new welding positions can be easily approached and programmed on the simplified “Welding Wizard” user interface. After the program has been created, the robot path can be checked once again in a dry run before the robot carries out its welding work. There is no need to teach in complex programming environments, leaving more time for the actual welding process.

This solution is particularly suitable for small batch sizes and high product variety, as the changeover effort is minimized. The collaborative robot is suitable for MIG/MAG welding and is protected from welding splashes in the production process thanks to IP67 class. By means of integrated torque sensors, the HC10DT IP67 works directly with humans as a welding colleague without a protective fence, which enables direct integration into existing production facilities with a small footprint. The Yaskawa solution can be customised with suitable welding packages from Fronius and other manufacturers, as well as other accessories.
