As a cross-sectional technology, industrial cleaning technology ensures the quality of downstream processes as well as product quality. The Fachverband industrielle Teilereinigung (FiT) e.V. (Industrial Parts Cleaning Association) is taking this enormous importance into account by awarding the FiT2clean prize annually in the future. The prize is awarded for outstanding achievements and solutions to a current challenge in industrial component cleaning. The application period for the inaugural 10,000-euro award runs until September 11, 2022. The award ceremony will take place on October 13, 2022 at Parts2clean.
Whether downstream processes or the flawless function of an end product – no quality can be produced without cleanliness. Component cleaning therefore plays an essential role in the value chain. New and further developments from the various areas of industrial cleaning technology make an important contribution to achieving the required cleanliness economically, sustainably and optimally matched to the respective production environment.
“With the FiT2clean Award, the Industrial Parts Cleaning Association would like to help drive innovation for component cleaning and recognize outstanding achievements and solutions,” explains Dr. Michael Flämmich, Chairman of the Board of FiT. The award, which comes with 10,000 euros and one year’s free membership of the trade association, will be presented for the first time in 2022 and annually thereafter.
Applications for 2022 in three categories
For 2022, solutions, currently implemented product ideas and further developments can be submitted from the following subject areas:
– Innovation: Developments for more efficient implementation of current requirements in industrial component cleaning.
– Ecology: Solutions for industrial parts cleaning or for the modification of a product, process or application, resulting in resource-optimized process control or resource savings.
– QSRein 4.0: System solutions for knowledge-based process control in industrial parts cleaning.
Award ceremony at Parts2clean 2022
The submitted applications are evaluated by an independent jury of experts – people from science, research, industry and the media – according to defined criteria. The first Fit2cleanPrize will be awarded on October 13, 2022, during Parts2clean. The leading trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning will take place from October 11 to 13, 2022, at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center.
