Omera continues its growth strategy by acquiring the brand and the movable and intangible assets of Gigant, a traditional company in Calderara di Reno (Bologna region) specialized in the design and manufacture of hydraulic presses for cold and hot forming.
Vicenza-based Omera, which recently celebrated its 70th anniversary and generated sales of 24 million euros in 2022, is thus strengthening its already significant position as a major manufacturer of presses for sheet metal working.
The Omera brand is internationally known for the design and manufacture of trimming and flanging machines, energy-saving mechanical and hydraulic presses and automatic lines for turnkey processes.
“With this acquisition,” explains Massimo Carboniero, CEO and co-owner of Omera, “we have, on the one hand, given a strong signal of vitality with corresponding growth prospects and, on the other, achieved greater market penetration by increasing our customer base both in Italy and abroad.”
