At this year’s Automatica, everything at Yaskawa (Hall B6, Stand 502) revolves around AI-supported robotics solutions for the smart factory and beyond. As a trade fair highlight, the manufacturer will be presenting its new Motoman Next product concept.
Under the trade fair motto “Redefining Adaptive Robotic Automation”, intelligent robotics solutions can be experienced in actual practice at Yaskawa. They demonstrate the wide-ranging potential of AI in automation: corresponding approaches can be found in established sectors such as industrial sheet metal processing or warehouse and intralogistics, but also in previously barely automated fields of application, such as large-scale catering.
New product concept
Yaskawa is now supporting the realization of corresponding AI robotics solutions with a new Motoman Next product concept, which is celebrating its premiere at Automatica. The range includes components from Yaskawa and partners. Third-party systems can also be integrated. Motoman Next thus enables consistently simple implementation and makes it easier for companies of all sizes to get started with AI-based automation.
Comprehensive overall solutions
The new portfolio for intelligent robotics solutions is integrated into Yaskawa’s i³ Mechatronics concept. With comprehensive automation, drive, control and robotics solutions, it offers practical, scalable answers to the challenges of Industry 4.0. Yaskawa utilizes synergies as a globally active technology supplier for robotics as well as for drive and control technology.
At the Automatica stand, a demo handling cell will illustrate the interaction of numerous Yaskawa components and systems within the framework of skill-based industrial processes. In addition to the new iCube control platform, the new Sigma-X servo system is also used in the overall i3 mechatronics solution.
Industrial robots and cobots
Last but not least, Yaskawa will be showcasing the latest industrial robots and cobots from its existing portfolio: the versatile 6-axis handling robots from the Motoman GP series now cover payloads of between 4 and 600 kg. Cobots are constantly conquering new areas of application, in welding and palletizing as well as in the life sciences sector.
Facts and figures
