With compact dimensions, low weight and robust construction, Lorch Schweißtechnik offers a new full-protection feed case that is designed to guarantee good welding results even under extreme working conditions. The innovative wire feed case was developed for both the S and MicorMIG series.

In particularly difficult working environments such as shipbuilding, large component production, tank construction or industrial production, welding work can quickly become cramped and physically demanding. This places high demands on both the welder and the equipment. Lorch has developed the new MF-10 full-protection feed case especially for this purpose: With its ultra-compact dimensions of 620 x 245 x 310 millimetres (L x W x H), it is ideally suited for manholes with a 200-millimetre coil (D200) and, thanks to its low weight of just under 10 kilograms, can also be transported over longer distances without any problems.

Safer than according to standard

Unlike conventional cases made of metal, the MF-10 is made of high-performance plastic. It is therefore fully insulated and also ideally suited for tricky and safety-relevant applications. Thanks to its extreme stability and robustness, it can withstand a fall from a height of 60 centimetres without any problems and thus clearly exceeds the standard of 25 centimetres.
Free access to the tool-free quick-release fasteners of the hose package and a user-friendly locking mechanism and strain relief also ensure that the intermediate hose package can be changed easily. The transparent coil housing cover allows the welder to easily check the remaining wire on the coil at any time. And an integrated interior light, especially on the MicorMIG variant, makes it easy to insert and change the wire reel even in poor lighting conditions.

Ergonomic design

The carrying handle of the case has also been optimised for tough practical use: With the MF-10, it is always above the centre of gravity of the wire feed case. Due to the orientation of the handle and the resulting ergonomic angle, no torque acts on the wrist when worn. This takes a lot of the strain off the welder when carrying it with one hand and passing it through a manhole or reaching it down from a scaffold.

Four variants

The new MF-10 full protection feed case is available in a total of four variants. Two variants for the MicorMIG series, each with a wire coil housing of 200 millimetres (D200) and 300 millimetres (D300) and equipped with the ControlPro control panel. For the welding units of the S-series, the full protection feed case MF-10 with the XT control panel is also available with small (D200) and large (D300) coil housings.
