New sheet metal processing technology will be on display at the Microstep Europa booth at Euroblech 2026. This includes systems from the Accurl-X Series, a robot-assisted process for 3D machining, and digital applications for utilizing manufacturing and machine data.

Under the theme “Cutting, Bending, Robotics & Digitalization,” Microstep Europa will showcase machines and applications for cutting, bending, automation, and digital connectivity. The company will demonstrate several of these developments in operation during the trade show.

Four machines from the Accurl-X Series in Hanover

Among the new products is the Accurl-X Series. This modular machine series includes machines for laser cutting and press braking. The different models vary in terms of processing format, performance, and features, among other things.

Four machines from the series will be on display at the trade show. The Smart Compact X is designed as an entry-level solution for laser cutting. The Masterline X can cut sheet metal using both 2D and 3D lasers. The Smart Giant X is designed for large-format sheet metal. The series also includes the Genius Plus X press brake. With the X-Series, the manufacturer is further developing existing machine concepts. The goals are shorter processing and non-productive times, reproducible process sequences, and a higher degree of automation.

Another development concerns robot-assisted 3D cutting. The technology is based on Microstep’s EtherCAT control system and enables adaptive height control in three-dimensional space.

This allows for the machining of profiles, container bottoms, and three-dimensional geometries, among other things. Robot arms, for example, can be used as tool carriers.

At Euroblech, the company will demonstrate the technology by using a robotic arm to perform plasma marking on U- and L-shaped profiles. The tool follows the three-dimensional contours of the workpieces. In addition, movable clamping systems and chucks can be integrated into the control system as system axes.

Also on display is an automatic nozzle changer for plasma applications. The automated changeover reduces the need for manual intervention and the associated downtime. In addition, automation helps improve process reliability.

Processing Manufacturing Data with Artificial Intelligence

Another key focus of the trade show presentation is the processing and provision of manufacturing data. Together with the Industryfusion Foundation, Microstep Europa is presenting the Xana AI and X-Share applications.

Xana AI uses artificial intelligence to analyze manufacturing data. The application is designed to process process information and provide users with insights to support operational decisions. According to the company, it can also identify anomalies and opportunities for improvement in manufacturing processes, as well as make process and manufacturing knowledge accessible.

X-Share is designed for the exchange of data, information, and service content. Among other things, the platform allows machine status, production information, and technical documentation to be made available regardless of location.
