On September 30, 2026, the hub tech festival in Dresden will bring together experts from the manufacturing and high-tech sectors. The focus will be on automation and digitalization, as well as new approaches to connected manufacturing, logistics, robotics, and organizational change.
Smart Systems Hub GmbH expects more than 600 participants at the Ostra site in Dresden. The program is divided into four thematic areas: Construction, Logistics, Factory, and People & Change. These areas address various aspects of the digital transformation of industrial processes.
Four thematic areas for digital production
The Construction area focuses on digital planning and automated processes with a view to more flexible and efficient manufacturing. Logistics addresses the networking of factories, suppliers, and markets using real-time data. The “Factory” theme area is dedicated, among other things, to advanced robotics and data-driven manufacturing processes.
“People & Change” complements the technological topics with organizational and cultural aspects of digitalization. Experts and companies discuss how to manage change within organizations and integrate new technologies into existing work structures.
45 exhibitors and more than ten hours of programming
Participating companies include SAP, Telekom, GlobalFoundries, Trumpf, Still, Goldbeck, and Zeiss, among others. A total of 45 exhibitors will present technologies and applications. In addition, 45 speakers and coaches will participate in workshops and other interactive sessions. The program spans more than ten hours.
Tobias Herwig, managing director of fischer Consulting GmbH and host of the podcast “Fabrik der Zukunft,” will deliver a keynote address. He will discuss current approaches and developments related to the future of industrial production.
Another key focus is on collaboration between companies and experts from various disciplines. Michael Kaiser, CEO of Smart Systems Hub GmbH, describes this approach as follows: “Innovation always arises where bright minds, bold visionaries, and experienced practitioners come together.” The hub aims to create a space for exchange and collaborative development efforts.
