The German machine manufacturer Trumpf is acquiring the business of the Italian machine manufacturer Cutlite Penta from its parent company, El.En. Cutlite is to continue as an independent brand with its own manufacturing, sales, and service facilities. The focus is on custom-designed large-format systems and laser cutting systems with power ratings ranging from 30 to 60 kW.
With this transaction, Trumpf is expanding its product portfolio to include custom-designed, large-format laser cutting systems with high laser power as well as machines for processing large-format tubes. Cutlite will continue to develop and manufacture custom cutting systems for large formats. With this acquisition, Trumpf gains additional manufacturing capacity and expertise for custom-designed machines.
Cutlite develops and manufactures its laser cutting machines in Prato, Italy. The company employs approximately 190 people there.
