One year after re-entering the power plant market, Schoeller Werk GmbH & Co. KG, Hellenthal, can draw a positive balance: with projects in the USA, Asia and Europe, the company has already delivered over 1 million meters of stainless steel tubes or has them firmly scheduled in its order backlog.

The product portfolio includes key components for power plant cycles – from high- and low-pressure preheaters to moisture separator heaters (MSR) and condenser tubes that ensure efficient energy conversion and resource utilization.

“We have implemented our return to the market with great determination and repositioned ourselves as a partner in a short space of time,” says Bernd Jansen, Head of Operational Sales at Schoeller. “The trust of our customers and partners shows that the Schoeller brand enjoys an international reputation. I am particularly proud of the speed with which we have managed to return to this market segment and build up customer relationships.”

Energy market growing rapidly

The global energy markets are currently in a phase of superlatives, as Schoeller reports: The demand for energy is increasing, the pressure to modernize is growing, and at the same time new construction and expansion projects are emerging worldwide. While maintenance and revitalization projects have dominated at Schoeller in recent months, the number of major investment projects is increasing, particularly in North America and Asia. The Middle East is also increasingly coming into focus. Schoeller is currently evaluating how the company will position itself in terms of personnel and new cooperations in order to participate in the region’s growth.

According to the company, one success factor is its focus on international cooperation. Schoeller works with sales partners such as CNOOD Asia Limited (China), Haelim Trading (Korea) and Emerald Metals (USA) and is expanding its sales network with new partners in India. From 2026, Schoeller sales experts will also be regularly in the USA to intensify activities there with Emerald Metals, tap into new market segments and strengthen the company’s presence in North America. Regular customer meetings, technical advice and personal exchanges on site are integral parts of the strategy.

Growth through partnerships

“The expansion of international partnerships is a central component of our corporate strategy,” says Alexander Mertens, CEO of Schoeller. The company’s aim is to make the strengths of its technology visible internationally and to develop markets where quality, process reliability and efficiency are in demand. “This will create the basis for further sustainable growth,” expects Mertens.

With its internationalization offensive, Schoeller is strengthening its presence in global markets and at the same time expanding its technical position in the power plant sector. The focus is on the coming year. Schoeller intends to continue its internationalization strategy and focus on advanced systems that harmonize performance, efficiency and quality.
