Small and medium-sized companies in industry and trade often process series with small batch sizes and must be able to react flexibly to a large number of variants. To do this, they need high-quality and reliable sawing machines that are easy to operate and precisely tailored to their requirements. This is where Kasto’s compact and universal machines come into play. Among them, the user will find exactly the right hacksaw, circular saw or band saw for his range of tasks and requirements.

Hacksaws for occasional use

For those who only need to saw metal occasionally, a Kasto hacksaw is the right choice. The machines are universally applicable and easy to operate, have a good price-performance ratio and require little space in the workshop or hall.

The KastoHBS hacksaws feature a continuously adjustable saw feed, two cutting speeds, a pendulum vice, a coolant system and an automatic limit stop. The cutting range is 210 millimeters for round material and 240 x 160 millimeters for flat material.

For larger sawing tasks, the fully hydraulic high-speed hacksaws Kastopsb. The universal hydraulic system can be used exclusively or alternately to cut thin- and thick-walled profiles as well as solid material without changing the saw blade. The up to four kilowatt motor enables good results in round and flat material. The Kastopsb 2 saws round material up to 280 millimeters and flat material up to 280 x 160 millimeters. The Kastopsb 4 handles round stock up to 400 millimeters in diameter and flat stock up to 400 x 240 millimeters. The saws feature six cutting speeds, a continuously variable saw feed with hydraulic cutting pressure loading, a pendulum vice and a coolant system.

Band saws for an efficient and uninterrupted cut

For workshops, Kasto has the versatile Kastomicut swing frame bandsaw in its portfolio. These are designed for efficient cross-cutting and miter cutting of tubes, profiles and solid material. The cutting range of the Kastomicut 2.6 is 260 millimeters for round material and 310 x 260 millimeters for flat material. The Kastomicut 4.6 is available in two versions: The Kastomicut E 4.6 manual swing frame bandsaw operates in a cutting range of 335 millimeters for round material and 460 x 335 millimeters for flat material. It is specially designed for single-sided miter angles and is suitable for cuts from zero to +60 degrees. The cutting range of the Kastomicut U 4.6 semi-automatic, double-sided swing frame bandsaw is 335 millimeters for round material and 520 x 335 millimeters for flat material. With it, miter cuts from -45 to +60 degrees are possible.

Kasto recently expanded the micut series with the fully automatic band sawing machine micut AE 4.6. This is based on the Kastomicut E 4.6 and offers users many advantages: For example, the feed vice can be precisely positioned via an accurate ball screw and a round guide. As a result, high accuracies in cut-off lengths are achieved. The cutting range of the new model is up to 335 x 460 mm for flat materials, miter cuts are possible on one side up to +60 degrees depending on material geometry and dimensions.

The biggest advantage of band saw technology is the continuous endless saw band. It enables economical and uninterrupted cutting and less material loss. One of the proven machines from this segment is the Kastoverto A 2 automatic straight-cutting bandsaw. Designed for the 260 millimeter diameter cutting range, 320 x 260 millimeters for flat and 260 x 260 millimeters for square material, users have a very compact machine at their disposal. The automatic bandsaw operates fully hydraulically with a vertically running and horizontally moving saw band for serial cuts in easy to difficult to cut materials in solids, tubes and profiles. For this purpose, the cutting speed can be varied between twelve and 120 millimeters per minute, depending on the geometry and material. The hydraulic feed of the saw head is also continuously adjustable from up to 300 millimeters per minute.

The fully automatic bandsaws from the Kastowin series have been consistently designed for serial and production sawing of solid materials, tubes and profiles. The modern high-performance Kastowin A 3.3 automatic bandsaw is suitable for cutting materials that are easy to difficult to machine, both in small batch sizes and for large-scale production. Its cutting range is 330 millimeters for round material and 350 x 330 millimeters for flat material. Users benefit from fast movements due to servo drives and ball screws for material feed and the linear guided saw frame as well as the automatic strip guide arm adjustment. The saw can be programmed quickly and easily via the color touchscreen. Users who have larger workpieces to machine and at the same time want to enjoy the advantages of the series can also fall back on the Kastowin A 4.6. The cutting range of this fully automatic bandsaw is 460 millimeters for round material and 460 x 460 millimeters for flat material.
