Witt-Gasetechnik has introduced the first flashback arrestor that not only stops backfires and flashbacks but also transmits this information as a signal. The patented innovation, called the 85-30 Smart, combines established safety features with sensors and electronics.
This makes it possible, for the first time, to detect and report events such as flashbacks and backfires in real time. Users can manage operations, maintenance, and safety with greater precision than ever before. Technically, the Smart version is based on the 85-30 safety device. It features a flame arrestor made of sintered stainless steel, a temperature-controlled backflow preventer, a gas relief valve, and a dirt filter.
